Synopsis:
"While still out to destroy the evil Umbrella Corporation, Alice joins a group of survivors who want to relocate to the mysterious but supposedly unharmed safe haven known only as Arcadia."
Been a loyal fan of the franchise. So naturally, I had to go see this movie, in 3d!The 3d fusion camera system was incredible! I love the way they used the high and low angles- gave the impression at times you were either falling to the ground or flying( simple concept, yet very effective). Also, and I doubt anyone who seen this movie will disagree with me, the 3d in this movie was consistent, unlike Avatar. Every shot is in 3d.
The movie does not waste a lot of time explaining to those new to the franchise the story (about a minute was devoted to it). The movie was none stop action and I expected nothing else(after all the shit the Umbrella Corporation did , it was payback time and Alice comes knocking). The actions sequences are jaw dropping and are accompanied by some dark and catchy musical score. However, here is where this movie falls flat: the storyline. There is no attempt at all to advance the storyline. Furthermore, no attempt is made to develop personalities for the characters and at times no explanation is given for the actions of some of the characters.
If you like the franchise, you will probably enjoy this. If not, then you might get a thrill out of the 3d action and the musical score.
