The pics below got me excited about this. After the mediocrity of the Star Wars prequels, it's gonna be interesting to see how this film turns out. Spielberg has gotten really good at shooting action sequences. Unlike some of his recent films, he won't be distracted so much by CGI (which, imo, were integrated nicely into Minority Report and AI anyway).

CAST:
Harrison Ford
John Hurt
Karen Allen
Shia LaBeouf
Cate Blanchett

In April 2004, the project was supposedly shelved once more after George Lucas rejected the script by Frank Darabont earlier. Reportedly, Lucas did not like Darabont's handling of the storyline between Indy and his brother (both Indy's father played by Sean Connery and brother, a role for which Kevin Costner was rumored to be considered, were to have roles in the new movie). In media reports Darabont indicated he was "disappointed" with the decision.

I'm sure this movie will be a blockbuster, but come on! The last movie came out almost 20 years ago and Harrison Ford looks like he ain't about to run away from boulders without the aide of a Hoveround. Shia Lebeouf is a great actor, but this is just another case of sticking an actor who's the "it" guy in a franchise past its prime to win over the younger audiences.

LOL!

I have high hopes for it, but wouldn't be surprised if it flopped--well it obviously won't flop but it just may suck.

Goddamnit! i hate Shit LeBooof (Shia Lebouf). What kind of fucking first name is Shia?!

I guess I am not watching this movie, then.

Suspect in 'Indiana Jones' theft is charged
A Cerritos man arrested in connection with the theft of computers and photographs from the latest installment of the "Indiana Jones" movie series has been charged with one felony count of receiving stolen property, prosecutors said today.

Roderick Eric Davis, 37, was to be arraigned this afternoon in a Beverly Hills courtroom, said Sandi Gibbons, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

Sheriff's detectives were called to Universal Studios last week when the computers and hundreds of photos from director Steven Spielberg's fourth installment of the adventure series were discovered missing from a production office.

On Tuesday, someone e-mailed several entertainment gossip websites saying he or she had images from the upcoming movie and was willing to sell them.

Officials at Paramount Pictures, which is to release the movie next year, learned about the e-mails and called law enforcement officials, said Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Sheriff's Department.

Detectives then set a trap. They e-mailed the suspect, saying they were interested in purchasing the photos. They arranged a meeting at the Standard Hotel in West Hollywood for Tuesday afternoon, according to a law enforcement source.

When Davis arrived, undercover detectives began negotiating for the photos before arresting him on suspicion of receiving stolen property, Whitmore said. He also was being held on suspicion of violating his parole, Whitmore said.

the TRILOGY ended superbly and this should not have been made. nevertheless, i will watch it, as, unlike lucas, spielberg has been churning out the entertainment pictures since the originals, and there is hope for a relatively thrilling 2 hour ride.

i'm skeptical, since the original script had jones' father in it, but since the character is phased out in the first half of the storyarc, they simply renamed it and made it a completely new character.
and there is no sallah. where the fuck is jonathan rhys-davis?! his character gave the indie series a fundamental charm, without which, much would be missing

i could have sworn sean connery was going to be in this one. i thought i had heard that neither him nor harrison ford would make it without the other.

you can't hope for this movie to just fit right in and everyone be like "ok, NOW the series is complete"

the series IS complete. the best this film can do is be worthy of its title.

Wow. Shia LeBouf looks like he has a touch of down's in that poster.

Every time I've seen the Last Crusade, it's ended with me always wantin more Indy, but maybe that was the great thing about it.

It won't change how I feel about the other movies, but it seems like a few years too late. I saw Temple of Doom the other day and then saw Harrison Ford at the Oscars, hard to picture him swinging from that whip now.

I have all three Indiana Jones movies on DVD so I'll prolly give em a watch soon...before I see Crystal skull. YAY for marathons! =D

funny, when i watch the last crusade, i think to myself at how an excellent ending that was to the series.

Yeah, but that's what entices to want more. It was a great ending to a great adventure, but it seemed almost bittersweet because of how good it was. That's how all the greats leave off though; on a high note.

this is a movie i will enjoy even if it is pretty bad, simply for sentimental reasons....it was a fave growing up. i really like reliving old classics like this with my boys now.

and whats with the shia hating, i love that kid :D he is adorable.
