Film: Forgiveness (Todd Solondz) - The Sequel to Happiness

I don't know how he keeps getting people to fund his films... In fact I'm pretty sure he put pretty much all of his savings into his last masterpiece 'Palindromes' and that didn't (predictably) do too well. I thought he was finished. I feared I wouldn't see another Solondz film... But he's back:

5 years after Palindromes, 11 years after Happiness, and Forgiveness appears out of nowhere.

Although it follows the characters from Happiness, it has been recast. Paul Reubens (best known as Pee Wee Herman), for example, is now playing Jon Lovitz role from Happiness.

I was gonna start a thread on this too but I totally forgot.

Todd Solondz is one of my favourite directors and I'm really looking forward to this one. Can't wait to see the trailer. :D

edit: also pretty excited to see the likes of Ally Sheedy, Allison Janney, and Gabby Hoffman in this.

This has been renamed 'Life During Wartime'... it is apparently long since completed and was supposed to be released in 2009. Can't find any news on a more specific release date.

Did I miss it coming out? Has it failed to nab a distributor?
