hey just wondering if anyone else thinks this anime is fucking awsome.

Totally, I watched the live avtion version about 7 years ago and again about 3 weeks ago (was on tv), It's not as bad as I first thought, I havn't wtched the series but the feature length is deffinetly one of the best (IMO after 9 years of collection)

nothing can stand up the the final battle, mouth watering animation

One of the first Japanese Cartoons I ever saw.

I loved it.

But yeah... the live action version sucks ass. Even with Chris Penn and King Kong Bundy.

Actually....I wasn't a huge fan of it to be honest....really hated the drawing style....but to each their own

Definitely not landmark, but when I saw this as a young teen, the violence was hilarious.

Yeah, it certainly brought my level of desensitization to new depths.

Someone poking holes in his own head to prevent it from exploding is WAY cool.

The artists certainly took some liberties with perspective and relative size (like the little girl under the big guy's boot) but hey, it's only a cartoon, right?

The live action version of any anime tends to be bad.

The Guyver comes to mind immediately. It was like watching the Power Rangers.

Hahahahaha I can't believe someone brought up Wicked City! I totally thought about posting that...yes the Hong Kong Live Action version is pitiful to the far more intense anime version. Shit...that was the first time I'd ever seen hentai-laced anime...like whoa.
