Anyone seene the film Chopper?
I absolutely loved it, something about the character which i really loved. Well acted out, i believe the actor is a top Australian stand up?
Some parts of the film i couldn't stop laughing at, although it isn't a comedy really, and i especially loved the prison scenes.
Although it is based on a true person the guy on his website says it is "100% true and 100% false to create 100% of nothing" lol.

Yea, pretty violent movie. Enjoyed him in Munich much more, also a pretty violent movie. But this is still some pretty phenomonal character acting.

This was an awesome film. I have to see it again.

Now mate, if you keep on stabbing me, I'm gonna die. So what are we going to do about it?

CB ;)

Many great moments in a modern day classick. Watch the DVD with commentary by Chopper himself. Funny cunt!

"It's like if yer Mum stabs ya!"

When criticised for glorifying a convicted criminal, the producers, or possible Bana himself, made a comment along the lines of, '..if after seeing this movie, you want to be like Mark, then there is seriously something wrong with you'. A fair call in my opinion. Great film, a true Australian cultural export :) (along with Two Hands and Malcolm)

"Bit early for Kung fu isn't it Jimmy?"

If you haven't read the books I'd recommend them.

So what happens in the interview with the real guy in the Extras on DVD? I had a copied version of the DVD which didn't have the Extras on it :(

One example i can remember:
During the scene where he goes to his old mate's (Jimmy?) place and he's got kids and a baby, Chopper comments something like "This is based on a true event when i went to this guy's house to shoot him, but he had a baby there. I didn't think it was right to go through with the plan, so I shot him later instead."
He says it so bluntly and "matter-of-fact"ly it's fuckin hilarious.
