I saw this last week, and while I admit that I've always been intimidated by Ulysses, I feel that with some of the crutches this provides towards the coherency of the story that I can give it another shot and this time, get further than chapter 3.
The story is an adaptation of Ulysses, a very faithful adaptation, I'm assured.
Even if you're not a Joycian, but appreciate great writing, particularly turn of the century European stuff with all its stream of consciousness and surreality, then you'll love this.
Some very powerful characters. Great humanity throughout... I found myself giggling inwardly as I recognised some of my self in Leopold.
Definitely get to see this if you get a chance.
