Hey all,

Would anyone know what is involved in the brain when it feels like this?:

Its like, there's something in you're brain and it wants you to get something. Just something. And weather it would really benefit you or not, its just about getting that and putting it in your body and then its like the brain says thank you and then your fine.

Like, tonight I have chosen not to take another tablet to help study , but the brain is still at me, go on take it please take it !!! TAAAKE IT !!! and it won't go away. its like if I take it everything will be fine, but yet I would be up for the rest of the night, etc. its almost like an arrow pointing forward that almost feels good, and needs to hit something in my brain (when I take it), and then its like.. WOOO HOO, THANKKK YOU , this is great. all is fine now. THANK YOU.
any ideas?

any idea?.

really, any ideas what it is all about. my brain just wants that little small bit thing.

why?. when will it go away?. BLAH AHH man dude brain screw u !!! ahhhh i suck , dam you brain. dam you intermet !!!dnansfgdgfgfsasfdf

It's called drug addiction,

This.

That is what addiction is.. it literally alters your brain chemistry and your brain/body craves it. As for when it will go away... I mean, people still have cravings even years after being sober. They are just something you're going to have to learn to deal with. You have to find out what your triggers are and then come up with positive ways to not use.. hobbies work well for this, good support system, meetings, whatever works for you.

I find boredom is probably the leading reason for my cravings, along with nostalgia. Finding something to distract myself with helps a lot.

^^

Yeah bordem is one of the fastest ways to end up relapsing. You really need to occupy all of your time, and occupy it positively, if you plan on staying clean. When you have time on your hands.. your mind just starts turning, the cravings come on, and they build and build.

Another thing is 'playing the tape through' which basically means, you think, "Yeahhhhh, just take this pill & everything will be cool" but you need to think back to most times when you did this. You take drugs, get high, then suffer the consequences. We addicts tend to only remember the good, not the bad that comes after.
