hi. at work i used to have a facebook news feed blocker. i want the same thing at home. i'm on apple using safari. i use facebook marketplace, and once in a while get suckered into scrolling down my news feed. which is an embarrassing waste of life and turns my brain to mush. i can find them on google, but they're not exactly app store legit. also i remember the one i used a work involved pasting code into a box that said, you're getting hacked don't paste code here. would be more comfortable if a tech junkie from a board i trust says, use this one.

thanks!

this worked: https://github.com/maxfriedrich/quiet-facebook

gonna leave this up in case someone tells me i've compromised my account or computer.

after posting this i tried one and safari won't even let you add non app store extensions anymore. but the style sheet worked. problem with non app store apps is telling my computer it's cool to run files off internet sites i'm not familiar with seems risky.

Why not just "unfollow" everyone/everything you don't feel is worth your time to look at? This won't "unfriend" them and they will be none the wiser. I've whittled mine down to two drug policy organizations, one source of PC gaming news, and my mother.

^i'd need to do that manually or use a script to do so. long as i'm going to copy and paste a script i might as well trust a download.

nice your mom made the cut.
