Piss poor analogy. Volume of sales does not equal outdated. I don't trust the bovine actions of the masses and their marketing masters for nada, save for depressing entertainment. A CD presents you with data, much like the digital version of this "Drake" character you mention. A book is an intimately physical object, with you, in your hands, staring at your face.
Sure, books are just data too, but the method of delivery is much more involved, and for many, a big part of the process. And yes, e-books have outsold paper books recently. But like I said, this doesn't mean much to me. Maybe we have differing definitions of outdated. Or maybe this book aficionado is also a zealot. But dont think paper books are going anywhere anytime soon.
