If the weed in england is anywhere near as strong as they make out, surely the weed being smoked over in merry holland would just fry your brain?

Sweden, along with the other Scandinavian countries(except for Denmark) are the toughest regarding alcohol restriction there are, excluding some Islamic countries. Alcohol is only sold in state owned stores, the minimum age is 18 for weak beer(up to 2-3%), it's 21 for normal beer(up to 5-6%) and 23 for strong liquer like whiskey and wodka. The alcohol taxes there are some of the highest in the world as well. Th funny thing is, it only makes the Scandinavian drinking problem worse; youths who are under the legal drinking limit distill there own anti-freeze like concoctions, often containing toxic methanol as by product, at times killing the kids who drink it. The adults who are of legal drinking age all go on "booze journeys" with the ferry to Denmark, where their mission is to get as pissed as possible, which even makes Brits on a drinking strawl or Czechs on a beer brawl look pale in comparisson, and then they go back to Sweden, by either foot, car or trauma helicopter with a severe alcohol poisoning. Or they just extend their journey to Germany, stock up as much alcohol as legally allowed, and take it all back to Sweden to drink it at home, curcemventing the high taxes at home. So all in all, the Swedish system is absolute shit, and only makes things worse for it's citizens.Johnny1 said:These types of comparisons, between different approaches to drugs, would be much more viable if there were distinctions made between various drugs. It's crazy to treat all "drugs" the same!
If the concern is addiction, why not at least decriminalize weed and hallucinogens, as these are not addictive? Why not treat opiates, benzos, cocaine/crack, and meth differently than other drugs?
And they lose all credibility when they suggest that "drugs" are different things than alcohol, tobacco, and caffeine.
Furthermore, does this Queen of Sweden ever drink alcohol? That causes more societal problems than all illegal drugs combined. If she imbibes, perhaps she should give herself a choice of treatment or jail!
