Stimulants Enhancing Workout performance on Ritalin

I'm wondering what's a safe Ritalin (methylphenidate) dosage to motivate and enhance performance for workout? Say, go out inline-skating 10 miles? I'm not fit, young adult, overweight (not obese) and want to loose weight.

Today I plugged (Rectal ROA) 40mg of my ADHD-PI Ritalin IR script. Within 10 minutes, I got a phenomenal energy boost. Laced my in-line skates and hit the bike paths in no time!

HOWEVER... Although I had "unlimited" muscle power (no fatigue), I was sweating like crazy and after 1 mile, I almost ran out of breath. I was hydrating... but that didn't do much. I ended up home after doing only 2 miles...

So what would be the "ideal" Ritalin dosage for increasing metabolism, enhancing performance/endurance and exercising -- without dropping dead (that is)...

What's your resting blood pressure? What about with methylphenidate? What about during/after exercise? Taking anything more than a mild stimulant while working out isn't a nice thing to do to your vascular system for most people. Now, if your BP is well controlled and you don't have any heart or vascular conditions it shouldn't be too harmful, but I still wouldn't recommend it.

I have a slightly different, but related, question:
is it normal that when amphetamine and/or methylphenidate comedown hits you your max HR decreases? I've been studying very hard the last few days and tried to go for a run a few times afterwards, but my max HR never got above 175, when I can usually hit 185?

Sauna your body..thermogenics have proven effective for many.Myself of course contribute as a vouch a successful outcome.

It's a non-sense what you are saying. It's like saying what's the ideal memory use that an anti-virus should have in order to speed up the computer. Adding an anti-virus will turn your computer into a walking dead, and same thing Ritalin will do to you. Ritalin is made so you sit still and study. Like, you can get up, walk to the fridge and back but that's about it. What you want is steroids.

Certain stimulants are known to enhance athletic performance. Amphetamines stimulants are a popular type of performance-enhancing drugs used by professional athletes. When I was on a Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) script, I did noticed motor performance and endurance (just like ritalin) but unlike ritalin, I wasn't feeling "speeding" nor ran out of breath after only 1 mile.... I was wondering if methylphenidate (Ritalin) can be used as performance-enhancing drug, and what dosage?

It's precisely if you're NOT fit that you should abstain from powerful stimulants pre-workout. Maybe if you're an avid runner doing 50 miles a week and you want to go on a 3 mile run then you'll be fine on a bit of ritalin, but otherwise it's a very bad idea. You're causing a ton of cardiovascular strain, especially if you're unfit (i.e., you're exerting your body way past its limit without realizing it).

If you are looking for a workout stimulant, Phenylpiracetam is the only I can guarantee won't give you a heart attack/other problems. It is also somewhat thermogenic, and effective enough the WADA banned it for sanctioned events! 8)

Even caffeine can cause serious problems when you're exerting yourself. Classical stims don't play well with serious exertion.

Doesn't the WADA ban essentially every stimulant aside from caffeine, though? (shit like DMAA, tuaminoheptane, etc) Or is that the IOC I'm thinking of?

^ this.

I'll share my experience so you can have an idea of how a doctor looks at this. In November, my GP put me on Phendimetrazine, at my request (he's a great doc like that), as an adjunct to my year long weight loss regimen. I had hit a plateau for a couple months, had already lost a huge amount of weight, and was literally the ideal candidate (per FDA guidelines) for this weight loss medication. Before he would prescribe he did a full physical work-up, complete blood work, an EEG/EKG, then put me on BP medicine for two weeks and re-tested me to be sure my BP was stable. My BP was only 132/88 but the anorectic would elevate way beyond that as a powerful stimulant and vasoconstrictor. When he saw it was stabilized he DOUBLED MY DOSE of lisinipril to drive my natural bP down so the stimulant brought it back up to normal baseline and not above.

Thats how seriously my Doc took it, totally willing to prescribe a schedule III stimulant that is a pro-drug to the infamous Preludin and rarely prescribed anymore. I've eaten scores of Ritalin. In my estimation, phendimetrazine is essentially as powerful a stim as Ritalin, but a FAR more powerful anorectic.

Undertaking a serious exercise regimen take a lot of effort and commitment. Part of that is starting slow and building up. I know you are pumped to make a positive change in your health, and that is awesome, but you can't go overboard at the start. Just take it a little easier, start slow. It may only be one mile for like 2 weeks. Keep it up and before long you will be kicking ass and the weight will start coming off. But if you do this, go FIRST to your prescribing physician and tell them you are beginning and exercise program. They should insist you have the same kind of workup I did. If they don't, find a new doctor. Seriously.

Not worth a heart attack, stroke, or pulmonary edema. And stick to your prescribed dosage. Taking more will only hurt you.

FYI: I have lost just over 100lbs in 18 months, 6 of those months were on phendimetrazine. My greatest weight loss occurred BEFORE i took stims. I'm done now, won't be getting any more, still losing weight. My success in NOT THE NORM. Most people put it right back on and then some because they don't continue to exercise and give in to their brains telling them to "EAT EAT EAT, you were starving and it might happen again!". I was quite determined not to be that guy. So far so good.
