In light of the knowledge that morphine is produced naturally in the brain, some know-it-all is stuck on the fact that endogenous morphine is chemically different than sythetic morphine. I disagree. If endogenous morphine and synthetic/ natural morphine both had different chemical structures they wouldnt both be morphine. Would they have different mechanisms of reaction in the brain. If this helps, the person who disagrees with me says "it has something to do with the prefix iso-." Anyone who has any advanced knowledge of neuroedocrinology would be welcome to describe this situation in dept. Thank you!

What exactly are you asking? Do you mind proof-reading before you post?

The brain does produce morphine, morphine exactly the same as that from opium. But I don't think it gets to high enough concentrations to have any real effect.
