Hey all,
How's it going, well as of now, there is only 36 hours till the weekend officially starts.
I was wondering. Have you all got a song(s) that just touches/hits/grabs you so much that you don't know what to do??
That song (I can't remember what it is called right now) that goes
"I feel wonderful, I could sky dive from the moon...."
I love it. Everytime I hear it I (big admittance here) feel like crying, because I feel like that woman singing sometimes; and I haven't ever had a really good MDMA experiance yet (mostly speedy type stuff).
It just makes me look around for something to say, or do or feel when its playing. I don't know what it is, but it just does it to me. I love it.
I wonder what it would be like for me on good MDMA.
We might yet find out this Friday!!
Until then... Listen to your song and remember how it makes you feel... Like Ally McBeal's song....... (no I don't watch it... anymore)
I'm feeling pretty happy now, so everyone, live life,
love life,
be happy,
be together,
tell somebody how much you love them, need them, want them,
call your mum and tell her you love her,
buy your old man a beer and talk about the footy,
mow your next door neighbours nature strip next you have the mower out,
help that old lady across the road,
and most of all, love yourself, look after yourself, take a break, take it easy; cos once you have finished your break, there is a lot of partying to be done.
Oh, and finally
Peace, Love, Unity, Respect to all.

It's such a nice day here in Melbourne, I wish I could enjoy it. But I just broke up with my girlfriend so I'm not feeling the best

I'm glad someone is though...
Anyway, MY emotional song is Halcyon + on + on + on, by Orbital. Every time I hear it, it gives me shivers down my spine, and I can't help but smile.
In fact, I think i need a dose of it now...

On the other hand "THE BELLS" is really emotiononal, dusnt everyone agre???

Depends on the emotion.
Tingly up and at 'em dancing and something that just makes your stomach jump, current fave is - Pascal F.E.O.S, 'I can feel it'
I'll go for Gorecki by Lamb, also, Redemption Song, Bob Marley, and how about the Orb, 'Adventures beyond the Ultraworld', 'little fluffy clouds' was a defining moment.
Bored at work and want to be outside playing!

In no particular order:
Black - Pearl Jam
Garden - Pearl Jam
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
The Final Cut - Pink Floyd
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
October Grey - Screaming Jets
Coming Back To Life - Pink Floyd
mmmmm no doof songs oh well....trance stirs up my emotions but the with the above songs not only does the music cut into me but so do the lyrics - they all have meaning to me. And let me just say that the second guitar solo on comfortably numb is the most emmotionally charged solo I have ever come accross

Pink Floyd are so much part of me...ok ok ok shut up haste hehehe

"Never trust a man who, when left alone in a room with a tea cozy, doesn't try it on" - Billy Connolly

Love- John Lennon
Whats Going On- Marvin Gaye
Yoda and the force-John Williams

Cause life aint nothing but a good groove
A good mix tape to put you in the right mood

I've gotta agree that there are some songs that just make me cream myself when they're played (especially when peakin' hard!).
What is really doin' it for me at the moment is UGLY KID JAY's "THE DAY THE EARTH CAUGHT FIRE".
BT's "DREAMING", still runs a warm shiver down the length of my spine.... oooh
smile.gif

The following songs also mean a great deal to me:
HEART SHAPED BOX: Nirvana
STACKED ACTORS: Foo Fighters
CLOSER: Nine Inch Nails
MAN THAT YOU FEAR: Marilyn Manson
PRETTY VACANT: The Sex Pistols
HOLIDAY IN CAMBODIA: The Dead Kennedys
But you know what absolutely does it for me every time... "techno" remixes of the old classics... Recently i've heard mad versions of SWEET DREAMS, THE WAR OF THE WORLDS and TUBULAR BELLS...
What does everyone think of this type of remixing? Any classics that you think deserves the "techno" treatment?

BJ I think you've hit a nerve here... oh and I think the song you're thinking of is "Skydive" by Freefall. Or something.
Anyway, for pure cheesy exhiliration and mood swings you can't go past Rank 1's Airwave... or to absolutely lift you to the roof, 1998 (aww OK, I'm a trance head, so whaddya gonna do??) Finally, for a chillout and some melancholy stuff, Smashing Pumpkin's 1979.
But thats enough of my bit, if anyone was interested... i'm off to Innovator.

haha mikeyS, i remember when we were with hoffy at prototype and that track came on, and you came and grabbed me whaaaa thanks for that

3. Falling in Love : By the King ( Elvis ) geez I'm starting to sound old now !

Emotional track?? Try 'Lost Without You' by Jayn Hannah. From 'Northern Exposure - Expeditions'. F'n crazy track - esp. when rolling. Beatiful sounding vocals and nice lyrics.

Hrmm...my classic emotionally-bending tracks would have to be:
Parker & Clind - Generator [Power Club Remix]
- dirty sounding uplifting trance track similar to the PvD remix of 1998...it's a killer! When I hear this while peaking, it makes me want to cry.
Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar [Three'n'One Remix]
- everyone knows this track...a classic.
A-Tension - Angels
- if you're a raver you know this track. "When I dream...I can see...an angel watching over me...an angel...I saw an angel..."
smile.gif

I used to have an MP3 of that track, but I lost it when a hard disk of mine died =(
-- SpeedFrog.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Chicane - Saltwater!!! Yes, flaming June and dreaming - BT. Skydive - freefall does bring back some memmories. Something different though, Jhelisa - friendly pressure.
Going back to my oldskool stuff,
Momments in Love - Cosmic Baby. Actually, come to think of it, most of cosmic babys stuff. His whole "thinking about myself" Albs gives me shivers when I listen to it. Um, Air Tattoo! The spiritualist - Flight over jerusalem.
This music makes me sook even when I'm straight. The list goes on and on. There are millions of tracks!!!!!!!
Oh yeah Ghost
smile.gif
, Def sneaker pimps and Portishead for that warm, comfortable and emotional feeling.
