Elon Musk officially buys Twitter, DONE DEAL !

I don't understand why the right is so excited about this. Because twitter banned Trump?

Do you really think Elon Musk has completely impartial freedom of speech in mind? The richest man in the world has no agenda???

The richest man in the world now owns one of the biggest social media platforms... sounds like the plot to a book. Kinda scary, if you ask me.

Elon Musk is like Batman. He's filthy rich. He's dangerous. He's reckless. Yet - somehow - people (on both sides of the political spectrum) trust him.

I'd much rather Trump as a president than Musk. They're both crazy, but Elon appears to be having a legit mental breakdown whereas Trump is just a fucking clown.

I've always found it weird that the public loves certain ultra-wealthy people. The Queen is a good example. Hollywood celebrities. Elon Musk. These are all disgusting people. But, then, that's human nature I think. If I had their money, I'd probably live that sort of selfish life too. I don't know. Maybe I would give it away.

The Queen's platinum jubilee cost something like fifty million AUD.

Fuck these people, seriously. There should be a deathbed tax. If you have 10+ million, including assets, the rest of it is put to good use... but then people would just spend it all before they die.

I don't know how the fuck billionaires can sleep at night knowing about the people in the world who are really suffering.

I wonder if these people are ashamed.

Probably not.

Most of them have personality disorders, think narcissism.

The Queen is the perfect example. We're conditioned from birth to view our culture through a certain lens, it runs really deep and connects with feelings of security. It means we overlook all the travesties of their history and don't really go looking to see if these people have really changed their ways (they haven't). The Queen is immensely powerful but hides behind a façade of being a harmless old biddy - the actions of her sons, Charles and Andrew, reveal a glimpse of how things actually are behind closed 9ft golden plated palace doors.

People delude themselves because they want to believe the good rises to the top, and not all the degenerate scum that will conspire all sorts of horrors in order to get a little money or power.

I wonder if these people are ashamed.
The fact that the Queen is 96 and hasn't put a musket against her temple, or Henry Kissinger who is 99 and hasn't sucked the tailpipe of his Bentley, suggests these people are quite comfortable in their little bubbles. I don't think anyone would make it that long if they had serious cognitive dissonance about their actions. These people in all probability genuinely believe they are superior to the common man and have a divine right to try and shape the world to their liking.

Alright everything happening as I predicted it would

Twitter will take it to court (of course) and will try to squeeze as much out of it as they should.

We can only wonder what Musk's reasoning was at the time, it's just so unbelievably stupid, but he did manage to liquidate ~9 billion in Tesla stock without annoying questions asked.

Looking forward to it all, it seems like there's no way out for Musk, but rules don't apply to him, so we'll see.
