Can anyone tell me what the pharmalogical differences are in the various iboga alkaloids. Obviously we know about ibogaine and maybe a little on noribogaine(5ht2a,kappa/mu-opiate,nmda antagonists,muscarenic,gaba,sigma), but I cant find much decent info on the others such as tabernanthine,ibogamine, voacangine,coronaridine in relation to those receptors or any others. Sorry if this has been discussed. BTW has the methoxy/hydroxy(nor)position on ibogaine been tried on a more standard tryptamine?

LOL Always the posters who ask smart, interesting questions who say that. The ones who stole "500 mg vikodan" from their mom and want to know if they should snort them never do.I was on this very same trip like 3 months ago cuz there's plants local to me that aren't iboga but produce ibogamine alkaloids. I followed a lead in a Santeria text for a delirium potion but it was written in the Yoruba dialect and I'm not exactly fluent in tribal Nigerian languages so there's a possibility I may have picked the wrong species so whatever I did extract I was too chickenshit to go any further with.
My intention was to isolate a sufficient amount of voacangine to make several 18-substituted derivatives (adducts to the ethyl group). They did this with coronaridine with interesting results but the psychedelic effects were diminished. So then maybe the 12-methoxy group that ibogaine and voacangine have but coronaridine lacks is responsible for some of the magic.I hear it's pretty easy to convert voacangine into ibogaine(decarboxylization) and from that to noribogaine(o-demethylation) or just to nor directly. not sure what the main differences would be from ibogaine to noribogaine. I wonder if nor could be acetylated to increase potency(if nor is more potent) or atleast make it a bit more legal or if the methoxy group is the better position than alkylating nor with a heavier alky or adding a ring like a benzoxy or pyrano.
