I found out that without increasing a dose this combination works every time
20mg zolpidem
+20mg metoclopramide (antiemetic)
would result in a peaceful and comforting blackout (note: it's subjective)
{
which I find very comfortable and do almost every night (but that's for the dark side mental health trauma topic so please try to stay ontopic)
so I can forget about everything, eat in peace, and have solid 7h of sleep.
I think that most of the time I'm in the REM phase because I have long story vivid crazy dreams which I can remember and sometimes write down the whole story.
I wake up rested. Not even a bit drowned. I can wake up rested with 5.5h of such sleep (~ 11pm to ~5-7am)
Sometimes the dreams upset me or some idea or memories of certain events pop in my head and couldn't sleep
Sometimes I force myself to just keep my eyes closed so I can have another hour or so of sleep
and also, I hate it when the feeling from the dreams transfer to the next day (do you experience something similar?)
I mostly dream about recent stuff that "shook" me or about my memories mixed up
}
On topic:
There aren't much metoclopramide info on the web but I think it has impact on CYP3A4 and CYP2D6
- can somebody confirm and explain the interaction between Zolpidem and Metoclopramide?
Recently I was reintroduced to Wellbutrin
In the "manual" is stated that it can interact with Zolpidem which would result in described dream component
- what's the explanation?
And recently I started to take 25mg of Quetiapine before sleep
[mentally I feel better from Quetiapine]
(Obviously I'm depressed, traumatized, ...)
(and on the other side, I can be manic)
I'd like to lower the dosage to 10mg of Zolpidem and have that blackout
Is it possible?
Which combo would you like to suggest me to have blackout without going nuts on substances?
Why this combo works?
Beside the mentioned pills, I also have Alprazolam and Valporate in my regular therapy but those two I don't consume.
thank you for reading
I would be fine
TLDR:
why zolpidem, metoclopramide and quetiapine result in a blackout?
would just zolpidem and quetiapine result in a blackout?
is the metoclopramide the key component?
edit:
almost forgot that the magic happens after I smoke the day's last cigarette (10mins after the blackout mix)
nicotine receptors !?
[Wellbutrin is my AD but it only made me smoke <5 cigs/day, I was smoking a pack (20) a day]
[Quetiapine gave me hope in better tomorrow]
