I read a report a few weeks back, that E has become the new drug of choice for the business world.
The powerfull players of wall street have turned their focus from cocaine and heroin to E.
Does anybody have any insight to the accuracy of this report?

Hmm, I don't know if that's true, but I wouldn't be that suprised. I mean, you're energetic, and feel just plain good _but could still work_ while rollin', whereas I'd imagine that it'd be harder to work while coked, and damn near impossible to do much anything with veins full of smack. That, and E has essentially no comedown in comparison, is cheaper, and is not physically addictive. If I were a businessman, I'd still want to do it, wouldn't you?

I have no hard evidence behind my opinion but I totally agree with that statement. Everything from the way you take it, a pill..I mean SEEMS harmless enough...and the way it makes you feel...All adds up to smart, saavy people using it...And that includes businessmen....Just a few weeks ago I met a trader on Wall Street rolling face...When I expressed my surprise his response was... "work hard, play hard"
Very cool guy!!

Rabbit Joker I used to work for this brokerage firm in philly from june of 98 till july 99. Well you are right alot of the brokers i got cool with they were mostly snorting cane, that's when i first got there but the beginning of 99 a couple of brokers started to ask me if i could get them e. Of course i got it for them everyweek till i got fired, but i have a friend who still is working there and she said at the christmas party all of the brokers were getting ready to leave and go to the club to e and i am talking about powerplayas cause this is the biggest firm in philly, no bullshit this is true.

I've noticed that too. I'm more in the music/art/film community, but a lot of people I run into are involved with banking, the sciences, or even the government

I work in business and I still go strong! It's a Clark Kent/Superman type thing. I also have a friend who went to this rolling party at this house where some lawyers live and all these other lawyers and business people were rolling face!
All types of people do this shit. I think it's just going to keep spreading, too, the alcohol industry had better watch out!

Yeah, it's definetly in the art/advertising industry. But they're still primarly stoners for the most part.

I guess there is some interest in this topic...
I guess the main question is how exactly are all these business people getting it (I suspect from their former coke dealer).. You don't often see older (35+) people at clubs or raves, so it makes you wonder..
However for those who enjoy it, more power to them. I'd think it would be interesting to take some and try to work for the day. The only problem I think would be talking on the phone, you'd go off on some story of how when you were a kid you had a fun time playing baseball and then... (if you get what i'm trying to say).
I guess if you just sorta work away from people you could do it, but being involved in front line sales I don't know if I could..

peace out..

I am a student headed for the business/ financial sector, and while I would say the drug of choice for Wall St types is coke, E is definitely rising in popularity. I have plenty of friends in the business world, mostly young adults in their 20's but some who have risen considerably up the corporate ladder, who roll regularly. Thing is, its a high stress life and you have to keep the E-ing under control, otherwise, you're toast. I have a friend who manages a hedge fund at a major NYC investment firm, and he is constantly complaining about the stress, yet he still does E and GHB pretty regularly, maybe to cope.

I work in the business/corporate world here in Australia and I would definitely say that there has been a switch from coke to e. Especially with those under 40. I work with quite a few older people (over 40) who are still big into their coke. One manager who regularly racks up lines of charlie told me to stay away from ecstasy cause "you don't know what's in it"!!!!
I have turned a couple of older people here to pills. They knew I took them and started asking me heaps of questions. So at the Christmas party last year, myself and one other person here gave them one of our pills each. They loved it. The only reason they hadn't tried pills was because they had never had any exposure to them. It has always been charlie.
All the younger people I work with who are into partying and drugs, all take e. It's very rare to meet someone our age (26) who uses coke. It's too expensive, for not enough benefits.
I also have many friends who work in advertising....an industry which has always been known for it's coke snorting pretentious executives. Well, the company directors and older types still deal in and indulge in their charlie (and they're still pretentious), but there seems to be a big shift in that industry to pills. When I go to a party with these people, the coke always comes out at some stage, but everyone has normally already had a pill (or two or three

It's all good if you ask me.

Ok here goes when I worked there it was on the corner of 18th and Market. The name of the building is called 10 Penn Center, but the name of the firm is called Janney Montgomery Scott. Some party fuckin animals in there.

I work in the corporate/financial industry here in Toronto and I work with alot of people who roll on a regular occasion. My office is quite young (mid twenties to early thirties) and all the party people have managed to find each other. I am not aware of anyone actually doing it at work but I know that some (including myself) have done it at work functions.

Well, all I can say is that I am a business man and I oh so much enjoy that fuzzywuzzy feeling i get from rollin, especially after I take a hit from a juicy, stick, mushy bowl of tha green.

I work in the business world in Toronto along with some of the previous posters (Bay Street!!!).
I beleive that I am the only one in the office who partys, as we are a fairly young internet start-up with only about 30 employees. The older ones (30+) are all too concerned with their children, and the younger ones (20-29) seem all too involved with other issues (fiance, building house, money, work, blah).
But from what has been said here, it sounds like E is a hit in the business world!
This leaves me (early 20s) heading off to the clubs usually with only 1 or 2 other people. If anybody in the downtown Toronto core wants to hook-up and go party let me know!
peace,
