Drank is a new "anti-energy drink," designed to, er, "slow your roll." The grape-flavored drink is fortified with melatonin, valerian root, and rose hips. Based on the color and the name of the beverage, I'd venture to say that they're playing off the popular underground libation Purple Drank. This Village Voice quotes the following from a press release:

I know this will appear in NYC and other big cities. Don't know how long it will last, though. They took "Cocaine" (the energy drink) off the market pretty fast.

man, i had this idea years ago. i wouldnt have called it purple drank, but it would have been a calming drink, marketed in a similar way to red bull and the others. a nice calming beverage so after you have consumed 5 redbulls, you could come down.
