A lot of "body builders" think that som magical feeling is naturally experienced by OPTIMIZING their diet... This is fictitious... See... The key to body building is protein powder... Eat it and you will be able to grow... No need to eat massive amounts of chicken or steak. No it is not true... You are not what you eat... Unless its a hooker... If you eat out a hooker yeah you are one now...

Here is all you need to know...

Wake up... Drink protein... about 60 grams is good. (use less or more it doesn't matter.)
After physical activity... Drink protein... 60 grams good
Night time... Drink protein... 60 grams...

Here is where these body builders mislead guys the most... They are basically leading you to your death... How so? I tell you now...

Most proteins out there lie about their product to get you to buy it. In exchange to being a fool. You are rewarded like a rat with nano technology induced feelings and quite possibly dedicating a large portion of your brain to others who use that same product. The majority of products out there are garbage and should be disposed of into the garbage. The only protein powder you want is pure un-cut un-changed in any way protein isolate.

You know its good shit by the smell of it and the taste of it...

With the pure isolate you can add it to almost anything and hardly even notice a difference. Adding it with plain water is perfectly normal and tastes like you poured a table spoon of milk in it.

Last but not least... Whey protein isolate should contain a large amount of BCAA's and eliminates the need for bcaa supplementations
 
Don't fall for the "bodybuilding is a good place to spend your time and effort" hype. Treat it as a hobby that has enormously diminishing returns as soon as you get past being "fit" to the average eye.

Protien powder? Protien powder is to be used as a supplement if you so choose. The key to bodybuilding is HORMONES and REAL FOOD. A majority of your protien should be coming from chicken, fish, beef, pork, nuts, and REAL FOOD, not from a fucking powder.
 
Actually, Guido, I'm going to say that it probably doesn't matter.

You can add carbs and milk to make your protein digest slower. It's pre broken down too, so your body might actually be able to use more of it.
 
I like to think of whey protein as IR tablets and steak/chicken/fish as extended release tablets.
You don't always want all your protein absorbed at once, plus meat tastes better imo

That's bro science... What if your a vegitaerean? oh yeah... The stuff im talking about is in crystals... its so pure its actually a fluffy crystally powder of protein and amino acids... You could get bigger with this stuff without even working out... You would go about your normal daily activities and not even need to work out. everything would start to glow in a euphoric erotic mythical hue of flesh colored tones... Moisture in the air would beed off of your massive erect

Another thing that all that food lacks is amino acids.. With the right protein powder you could basically eat candy and soda only and still get bigger...

Some protein has stuff that increases nitrogen retention and it naturally occurs in the protein... So you get bigger pumps and increased nutrient flow to the cells of your pumped up muscles. Nothing can beat it... Pure protein the way the cow was intended for over slaughtering precious chickens like they don't have a soul...

Technically, you could drink 5,000 calories worth of protein whey a day. I don't know who would want to do that. Just the thought of it makes my stomach cringe. Just to play devils advocate, would you be deficient in any nutrient if you only drank protein whey for an extended amount of time?
 
No. Carbs and fat can be added. So can vitamins and minerals. It's just a pre broken down protein.

like I said, hypothetically, you might be getting better absorption and bioavailability with powdered protein.

Yeah. Our bodies are meant to have solid food mostly. Still, I dont see a problem with 3 shakes a day.
 
High quality protein powder with milk BETWEEN high quality lean protein meals, and creatine, glutamine, BCAAs are all underated , take that shit like it's going out of style and your muscles will thank you :)

Edit: Let's not forget hormones :)

Oh there is absolutely no problem with drinking 3 or even more shakes day. There is only a problem if lets say, your daily protien intake needs to be 200 grams and you get 200 grams a day strictly from protien shakes.
 
You need meat to absorb these supps properly, that goes for vitamins and everything, 1 study showed that on an empty stomach a multivitman with 100% of RDA for all vits and minerals only absorbs by 3% by the body.
 
And I drink at least 5 shakes a day 40g protein , and I don't even count the amount of creatine I put in em plus packing with EVERY amino, especially high in Leucine, just thought I'd share that :)
 
What brands you guys like ? I usually buy ON it's ok but I get easily bored of the flavour. I got some six star pro whey and I enjoyed the first couple shakes but then it's really disgusting especially with the chunks lol.
I think I'm not gonna buy whey no more.
