Regarding the suggestion or rather belief held by many that MDMA is not a psychedellic, or at least hallucnogenic, I have to politefully, but strongly disagree. I think we make the mistake of associating the term psychedellic with visual alteration etc. MDMA was always visual enough for me at moderate doses it would always affect my visual and auditory perception.
Especially with cannabis added. At higher doses, like 300 mg upwards, or say 5 or 6 quality pills, 500-800 mg, it was profoundly psychedellic and hallucinogenic. Going higher from there only increases the hallucinogenic effects, and I have gone much higher many times. But yes for a lot of people, on sensible doses up to 200 mg, the visual, hallucinogenic side of MDMA is observed less.
