@addictivepersona: You are brave if you are attempting a diet both low in carbs AND animal products
This thread is making me curious to try out a lower carb diet for a while again. I did notice some benefits last time although I feel I would probably do best with moderate rather than very low carb consumption. Like low carb with breakfast and lunch, and a serving of rice or potatoes with dinner, for example. Just knowing myself complete restrictions do not work well in the long-term and I end up cycling back and forth between extremes.
Is it recommended in general to make the transition gradually or all at once? I remember it did take me a week or so of feeling exhausted before my energy levels stabilized.
I went cold turkey but I think gradual would be easier. Hydrating w/ like 3 liters of water a day (I was doing 5 most days) helps a lot with the fatigue.
Lol, I wasn't asking for me. Co-worker of someone I know is doing an Atkin's type diet and he's only drinking 80oz of water, which doesn't seem high enough for someone of his height/weight.
yeah i just watched this documentary and its definitely very interesting. ill definitely be cutting down on some carbs, carbs are actually almost all i eat so it was a bit worrying for me.
