Hi....
Saturday night I rolled for the first time and it was one of the top three most amazing experiences of my entire life. Truly, I think it changed my life. I am partly afraid because I put something in my body that I don't know much about [stupid]. But mostly I am really excited.
For the last three hours I have been reading virtually all of your comments and questions, just trying to take it all in! So please indulge me while i tell you about my first time!
I did it at a dance club with two or my "party friends." These girls knew everyone. We didn't wait in any lines, we didn't pay for anything, and damn was that cool! They said I handled it really well; they were having fun watching me have fun! I didn't get sick, although I almost freaked because suddenly I felt like I was walking in a bubble. (But I grabbed my sister's friend and he just talked back down to earth....)
I read someone's comment that a way to enhance your roll is to suppress it. Even though this was my first time, I think that this was why I enjoyed it so much. I didn't want to be obvious that I was rolling, although I swear half the people there were on it too. Nonetheless, I tried to maintained my composure and I really got off on that self-control. It was like my little inside joke! Tee hee!
The down side to all of this is that I have read some of your comments that rolling has lost its luster or "the Scene" is boring some of you now. I hope this doesn't happen to me! The way I feel right now is ecstasy...I guess that's why this is so neat for me. Surely I am not still rolling, but I am definitely high on the memory and the freedom I felt!
