Remember those days when we used to go out and just DAnce the nite away?
It is sad becoz i can't seem to move my butt from the seemingly hard floor and rather enjoy talking to frens about the music and perving at guys and girls????
it is a cycle but will we ever stand up and DANCE our nite away again? Coz we dun ... then it is not a cycle ... its a semi cycle??

I've always spent my night dancing... I never do anything else. I can be there with 100 people I know and I'll ignore them all to spend 10 hours at the front of whichever event we go to...
But them im strange :P

I have a good mix
I dance hard, and in short bursts, so, yeah. Dancing is always a part of the scene, but it's not essential, and sometimes you just have more fun doing other stuff.

Virtually never anymore - but then I usually have a few beers when I go out rather than inhale 12 grams of speed nowadays... ;)
It's more a social thing for me - so 99% of the time I'm going out to catch up with friends and stuff... when I do go to see a particular act though I'll usually still have a bit of a boogie... :)

are we getting old?
will we ever ever DANCE like we used to?
i do agree with u, pleo. when im out nowadays, its more of a social catching up kinda thing.
talking about music, enjoying frens' company and of course, WATCHING! ;)

Oh, and I also usually go to places where the music is good to listen too or dance to... very rarely do I go to places with thumping music that's great to move to but is hardly interesting listening stuff...
It all depends what you prefer I guess... I don't hold anything against anyone that goes to other things, I just won't be there with them... :)

Oh come on, we all know the answer to this one.
Melbourne doesn't dance anymore, it drances!

I still love dancing, probably more than ever. Most of the crew that I head out with don't seem to dance much any more, which is a bit of a shame.

lol , drance....
well ive gone out once in three months , i have definatly slowed down. even when im out i seem to need to sit...alot!

i dance if im in the groove,
and not the head nodding groove. the body movin' groove.

soma!! of all people!! ;)
i guess i do dance a little but its more like shake ur bum abit and then sit down again. :|
maybe i will try dancing tonite ;)

I don't dance much anymore. But it doesn't bother me. I was realising this the other night actually.
Everytime I go out I dance at some stage of the night if the music inspires me to. But like Pleo, I'm enjoying the social aspect of going out...meeting people, babbling to friends...more than anything else.
The music is still a big factor of course, and if it's hard & techy then I'll get up and have a dance. But I get as much out of the music (if not more to be honest) if I'm sitting around listening to the tracks and the mixes.
I get enough enjoyment out of watching people dance :)

the last time i danced all nite. good question ummmm..... can i phone a friend or ask the audience?
I think it was eckythump race track and that was months ago. but then old skool happy hardcore is always inspiring :D

That doesn't make you strange at all, Genasirus. I've been known to do that quite a lot albeit probably more so in the past than these days. I don't like to use the word 'ignore' either although I know what you mean :) ... you're only ignoring someone if you snub them when they're actively trying to establish some sort of contact with you ;) .
I'd like to think that I'm still capable of dancing all bloody night if the music's good and if the chewing gum's the right flavour ;) ;) . Perhaps in the past, dancing all night was more of a 'mission' (so to speak) whereas now, we've settled a bit more into the groove and are more comfortable to whatever we feel like doing and whatever makes us happy, which is cliché, I know, but still makes good sense to me.

Hell yes I dance!
I dance like a mofo when I do, and when I don't I'm a puddle in the corner. I've yet to evolve a dancing style in which I can keep going all night, I usually screw myself over and make myself tired very early on.
I feel old! ;)
-plaz out-

Well I still dance. Personally I get more enjoyment out of dancing than sitting down all night talking to ppl, or if I don't dance then I'll just stand up the front and kinda bop away. I guess though that's my way of listening to the music, other ppl do it differently, plus after most ppl have been going out for more than a couple of yrs I guess they can't be fucked anymore.

When we go out nowdays ,i get the talking done first, Then i get in some dancin , then i stand in the corner and start my :everybodys staring at me paranoid stage ,and then its time to RUN home.Thank god drugs are still fun!

Last year when I was only going out monthly I would dance all night till the music stopped. This year when I was hitting the pills weekly and in a big way I stopped dancing. I came to realise that I haven't really wanted to dance, just get fucked up.
Now I'm back to taking pills monthly, and not getting fucked up when I do, I've started dancing again. I'm dancing when I'm straight more too.
So it all depends on why your taking the pills. If your taking them to socailise and dribble cod shit with your friends then you won't dance. If you want to dance and use the pills to give you the "energy" then you will dance all night.
It's all stems back to the whole mind set and setting bollocks.
