I suspect that my infrequent use of hallucinogens has caused some form of Dissociative Amnesia and Dissociative Identive Disorder. When I was 15 (I think) I took DMT and tried to do divination on "I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds" (which is NOT Bhagavad Gita 11:32, but rather the curse of Shishupala or one of his ancestors). Later, when I was 24, I had a bad experience ingesting 2 bags of morning glory seeds, one of which is reported to have effects similar to LSD. I think the dose was equivalent to around 50-75 micrograms or slightly more, but I also took a larger bag of less potent morning glory seeds. These are my only 2 uses of psychadelic drugs, although one time I think I was given ketamine in a hospital. I think both the "psychadelics" and the ketamine caused dissociation, but the ketamine (if I was given that) seemed to cure my depression or possibly other dissorders for a while. I also have a history of stimulant abuse, although I have found prescription stimulants benignly helpful at times, but I didn't tolerate Dexedrine recently.

So you used psychedelic drugs 2 times in 9 years?

I guess it is possible that they have something to do with your disorder, in my opinion the stimulant abuse is the more likely culprit.

Rather then spending time identifying if/which drugs caused your issues I think you might gain more from focusing on what you can do to help heal yourself.

Diet/exercise/meditation etc..

Did the problems start soon after either one of your trips? Stimulants can also exacerbate mental health issues. If you are concerned about your symptoms then seeking treatment is the safest bet. It can be tempting to self-diagnose various disorders, so getting some external feedback is helpful.

bupropion, I also suspect that your stimulant use/abuse is more likely the culprit for whatever issues that you're having, rather than the psychedelics. Out of curiosity, and if you're comfortable telling us, what symptoms are you having that are causing you to suspect a dissociative disorder?

I would strongly suggest that you lay off all drugs for a while to see if that helps your situation. Do you think this is something you could do?

Thanks for the advice. I take a lot of psychiatric medicines. Coffee is sort of the loose variable. I think it was spiked with mescaline recently, since after drinking it one day I started writing down 19th century brainwashing curses.

I suspect I have a dissociative disorder since sometimes I go to public places, and there seems to be an abrupt change in the people there.

So I'm assuming that because you're prescribed psych meds already, that you see a psychiatrist? How long has it been since you've been to visit them? And have you mentioned your concerns regarding dissociation to them?

Dissociative Identity Disorder is associated with extreme trauma at a young age. DID would not come from psychedelic use in adolescents or adults by anything I've read.

Why do you think someone slipped hallucinogens in your coffee? Many schizophrenics I've known have had a delusion that people were slipping them stuff that was causing their mental problems. I'm not saying I know what has happened but it seems like something worth pointing out.

Derealization and depersonalization problems can be lingering problems after psychedelics. If one is experiencing dissociative amnesia a neurological exam to rule out partial seizures would be prudent in my opinion.

Lingering effects from psychedelics tend to get better with time but often take a good period of avoiding any recreational drugs.

have you been givne a diagnosis of DID. It is a very rare disorder. the symptoms you are describing are not characteristic of that illness. It is characterised by mutliple personalities. As just said, it is almost exclusively the result of severe sexual abuse in childhood. the child creates another personality to escape the horrific abuse they are suffering.

Dissociative disorders are associated with extreme lapses in memory, like people going on journeys and then not remembering any of it.

What your describing sounds a bit more like paranoia/psychosis/schizophrenia.
