anyone else completely in love with this band like me? doing any of the new years run? need recommendations on good shows etc? talk to me!
 
I haven't seen Bisco but did see Gigantic Underground Conspiracy which is made up of Brownstein and Magner from Bisco, Michetti from Conspirator, and Lalli/Salkin from Big Gigantic. It was great music, sound, lights, lasers, and energy. Those guys go hard.
 
Bisco has the dirtiest, shadiest fans I've ever seen. I walked the lot at Starscape and saw a dirty-ass couple selling nitrous balloons next to their van that had a pit bull chained to the trailer hitch. They were smelly and fucked up and their small child was crying in the back of the van. I've been through all kinds of parking lots and the year that Bisco played Starscape, the dirtiest wookies and crusties came out of the woodwork. Bisco tour rats are the short bus juvie detention center kids of the jam band tour scene.

But besides that.... FUCK DISCO BISCUITS. Chris from Conspirator, Ben from underground orchestra, and dom and jeremy from Big G made the show. The music was so different from any bisco show I've been to.

thats not a bisco fan. that's a dirty ass tour rat. the only reason that person was there was because they don't have a home and furthur/phish was probably not touring at the time. those people are gross and not what bisco is about. sorry you had to see that.

fuck you good sir obviously its different than any other biscuits show you've been to because its NOT the biscuits....and f.y.i chris is from RAQ. he's been playing with conspirator recently only because the biscuits have not been touring.
 
I've been to other lots and was with phish veterans. Starscape was always a pure rave with a nice chill lot. No blatant pestering sales, chill bbqs that you could just walk up to and meet people. When Bisco first arrived, it all changed. Phish was on tour at the time, and it was like these were the degenerates that Phish lot wouldn't tolerate. It was like a ghoulish, zombie version of lot kids and I was sober. Truly some sickening dope fiends. The general consensus is that Bisco fans are the shadiest creepy wookies out there. Why do you think the thread fell so flat?

There's a reason that they have biker gangs run the security at Camp Bisco. Nobody else is going to reel in those shady fucking pricks who kill each other over nitrous sales. That's fact dude, including a beating, and one guy who was held down and had his lungs frozen out in a highly ironic homicide. That's a lot that people bring guns to. It's all well and good that you love their music, but their tour rat shit invaded my most beloved rave and it's never been the same. It wasn't until Bisco came into Starscape that the big nitrous crews popped up there. Along with other shady shit

Keep in mind that I'm not saying this stuff is exclusive to Bisco, but the shadiness seems extra concentrated. No arts and crafts, no food, just shady-ass drug dealers and lots of nitrous. And fucking pit bulls. And screaming children

Wow, I am glad I haven't experienced that, although I have been to share of shady raves.
 
the nitrous dealers aren't part of the scene, that the nitrous mob, they just show up. all they do is sell nitrous, they're hoodrats based out of philly and boston that usually don't like the music they're selling gas at. the biscuits do have their fare share of sketchy peeps but so do all jambands and a lot of electronic scenes too.
 
btw i've read that article before its very good. also i've only seen phish 6 times but have been to way more biscuits shows and have found way more gas at phish as opposed to biscuits.
 
yeah, it seems like the shady bisco kids are concentrated on the east coast. has anyone been to a bisco show in the west? do they attract a lot of the same shady types?
 
There is a huge concentration of shadiness in the Northeast, which is where the "nitrous mafia" proper is from. I realize that they they just go where the money is, but to me it's just seemed that Bisco was a low-rent substitute for Phish, like if Phish was a multimillion-dollar club that was a proper operation, and Bisco was a big, but shady club with a reputation as a place to buy/sell drugs and do bad things in dark corners. Again, I want to reiterate that I know Phish lots are drug free-for-alls, but there just seems to be a special brand of shady in Bisco lots

biscuits are based out of philadelphia, thats why most of their fans live in the northeast. from a musical standpoint, and even concert experience, phish and the disco biscuits are entirely different. although the biscuits are heavily influenced by phish, you can't really call them a substitute for phish at all. they are both jambands but play very differently.:)

junglejuice you are a fan of the rave scene? i.e starscape pre biscuits, ID fest minus the biscuits, and things like that?
 
Yeah man, I've spent a solid decade in the scene. My experience is deeply entrenched in the electronic music scene of the NE and some in Europe. I started going to Starscape in 2000. If you know anything about Starscape you can see why a raver is biased but I know I'm not alone.

yeah lol its funny cause bisco kids think about ravers what you think about them. not that they're scummy, just the disliking part. to each his own. you have any personal favorite DJ/producers to recommend? personally i'm a fan of the improv, you ever check out eoto?
