Did you grow up around drugs?

My moms been smoking weed since she was 16 or so.
She managed to keep it a good secret from 2dumb kids for long enough.
Then I started stealing her weed.
 
I can remember, even as a kid, my mother in the kitchen cutting up her xanax into smaller pieces with a steak knife because she would run out of her script early.

I mean, my sister smoked weed and drank and blew coke...

I thought I would be the smarter sibling and abstain from all that, and then I tried adderall in college... and then I tried klonopin... and then I tried oxycodone... and then I tried dope... and noooooooooooooow here I am :)
 
No. No one in my family even drank. Parents are strict sober people. Never seen them on anything.
My brother didn't start drinking until he was 23.

I went the complete opposite direction you could say.
 
My parents were both into weed when they were younger, and I believe they occasionally did coke and mushrooms. After my parents got divorced though, my mom became an alcoholic and she got heavy into crack. After about 10 years of that, she had to get clean and now she just smokes weed. I know how it all goes.
 
Nope, my parents barely had a glass of wine with dinner when we had guests over.
 
i remember being 8 years old and smelling the iso evaping on the stove and burning my eyes lol, my uncle always grew the best weed and often made oil. I also remember my dad making oil the same way, good thing they didn't blow the house up. My dad also used to tell me about his times using acid/mushrooms and he's always used cannabis, since he was 12. Even my grandma grows cannabis plants for fun, used to always see them growing. There's a picture in a family photo album of my uncle standing beside a huge ass plant when he was 13 lol. I also come from a long line of alcoholics, my dad would get absolutely shitfaced every weekend which caused me enough problems but wasn't as bad as my extended family.
 
My dad was a hardcore alcoholic my mom never touched anything until she got divorced for a 2nd time in 2009 and my stepdad another alcoholic.
 
Not at all but every single person on my dads and moms side are alcoholics. All of my dads brothers(3) drink sun up to sun down and 2 of my mothers brothers are alcoholics and do the same except there far worse off and pretty much homeless. My dad was an alcoholic but got clean when i was like three so i dont even remember it. He has literally never touched alcohol since not even one sip. Im so lucky to have my parents.

So looks like i have the fucked up alcoholic gene. Good thing i hardly ever drink it nemore and when i do its in small quantities because i have found better drugs winky face.
 
My parents never did drugs but occasionally drank & still do at weddings & social gatherings. Growing up, alcohol was always available to us kids at family functions & gatherings & we would always sneak it. I havent touched alcohol in 8 years, rather do pharms..............:)
 
Meth ghb and bud. Just my fajaa.

I've tried almost everything, ghb and bud are the only things that've stuck
 
My family never did drugs when I was growing up. My mom took Valium, but she took it the way it was prescribed and didn't abuse it. My dad occasionally had a few beers but he never got drunk.
 
Yep, definitely grew up around drugs. I used to be in stash houses when I was like 6 or 7. Of course I didn't know it was a stash house until I put the dots together when I was 14. Both my parents used drugs. But not excessively. And they hid it pretty good, but still, now that I look back on it, I can tell.
 
ya it was all there i just didn't know until i was about 10-11. my good friends was a closet functioning opiate addict and alcoholic, a girl that baby sat me was a massive drunk at the age of 17 and did i'm sure a ton of blow looking back on how she would just ramble about nonsense to a 7 year old. there was a semi homeless guy who lived in a couple places on my street who was smoking a lot of crack which i found out pretty early. another guy was a friend of this creepy dude, and apparently the guy did a ton of ecstasy...tons and tons of booze.one neighbour was notorious for this crazy strong smelling weed that you could smell for literally a couple blocks..looking back on it i really wish i was the age i am now during the mid 90's.
