Destiny

Right? I was just talking to someone I was playing with yesterday about that. Super annoying for a downloaded game. I figured twenty wasn't to crazy, but for a RPG style game it's not to shabby. I defintely thought it'd take longer. I only see a few people higher than that at a time usually. To bad your a PS4 lackey or else we could team up!

I'm thinking about getting an XB1 but I have 380 bucks tied up in two shipments that are god knows where (one of them the country has a postal strike, the other the vendor has been flagged and its been sitting in customs for a week) so I may have to hold off another month or so in order to not alert my roommate to the fact I have more money than I say I do :P

But yeah, if it wasn't for my Halo vet buddies carrying me through, I would be like level 22 max lol

I really like this for a pvp centric fps, usual not a big fan of these. Playing on the ps4 add me homies I go by "Baka_King_" on psn

Anyone playing the beta? I have it for PS4. Its my first time playing a console FPS for more than 5 minutes and I absolutely love it so far. Its looking like a great game and I don't regret the pre-order at all.

I just wish I could play with my friends who have Xbox. Fucking Microsoft and their policy of no cross-platform gaming. :!

psn nimqua420 but it looks like there aren't any players on here, tried the vault of glass a few nights ago, wishing i had better hand eye coordination,
the game is to grindy, diablo 3 i have no trouble grinding but the amount of loot dropped in destiny is so little, the artifically padded it

i wish i had waited a year and then gotten destiny, the dark below, the house of wolves, COMET, the hand of god, the vex, in a game of the year edition,

i was expecting a huge game, not one with four worlds, and a 10 hour story with 90 hours grind to even be able to vault of glass on hard,
plus the match making lack of on raids is annoying, everyone wants level30 to 31, when the mission is a level 26 mission, palyed with 5 31's abnd my 25 and people just left leaving my first vog attempt unfinished

Everything is online so you gotta connect to servers... load times are lame. bowl time for me.

This is my biggest beef with the game, being always online there is no time to smoke, and by the time you get a chance to smoke again any buzz is gone and you just wasted your weed and tolerance,
diablo 3 with my witch doctor i just move my character around with my toes and let my familiars kill everything while i hit, then pick back up the control,

I've never played COD but there are different classes with different skills and abilities, weapons can have their own growth pattern including higher damage or unique skills, there are two different types of PVP - one that levels the playing field between all players and iron banner that lets you battle with your enhancements, the two worlds I've seen are Russia and the moon. The moon is much nicer than Russia and in PVP, you can end up on Venus which looks like an awesome map.

I can't really compare it to other FPS because they aren't generally my genre but if I had to compare it to one, I could compare it to Unreal Tournament and say that its absolutely nothing like that game because it has RPG elements like leveling and classes.

The class system is pretty unique too... They all use the same weapons, they just have different innate skills. Like the warlock class has the "glide" abiliity and the ability to make energy grenades.

Sounds like Mass Effect multiplayer.

Nothing will ever top playing Left 4 Dead 2 multiplayer online with a regular group of ghetto black dudes who friended me. Felt like I was in a gang.

We ride 2gether we die 2gether.

I was stuck on Destiny for awhile. It had promise.
I bought it on its release and played the shit out of that game.
But after awhile it just became dull and lifeless.. you just start to become conscious of the fact that youre literally doing the same things daily/weekly.
I was a monster at PVP. Loved the iron banner. But even that got old.
I might go back to it once new DLC is released but that's kind of iffy. Been stuck on Borderlands lately.
Plus the new mortal kombat comes out next Tuesday.

Sorry to BUMP this thread - I quite enjoy playing Destiny but often get stuck with raids (noob etc)

I don't have a Fireteam but would love to play through some of the raids - anyone else fancy making a lounge area on here where we can all join up and do a game? I know I would really enjoy doing some of the levels only done by groups (VOG).

Doing the random raids its seems to be Arcon, Psions, Servitor - they get repetitive and the drops are always rubbish.

I've never played but my roommate has it and I'd be interested in playing w/ some peeps from here.

What system?

If it's ps4 and you end up making a playstation account to play, PM me your gamertag, bruddah. I don't like posting mine up on forums cuz I'm a paranoid little shit. :|

Bump - after Taken King who is playing?

I'm a solo player so never done the raids etc - capped at 300 gear etc but wouldnt mind playing with a few players who didn't want to "speed run" the raids and don't rage quit if each other die.

Hunter is my goto (void) second would be Warlock (arc) last would be my titan

I'm fairly new but still playing. It's fun, but it's not like Fallout-level addicting so I'm not on it every day.

Think I'm level 13 or 14 or somethin'.
