Designer's jail hell as police mistake powder for drugs

Id do the same thing lol We have even acted like we were off guts on MDMA with 2 mates when we saw a few undercovers next to us. We were drunk at the time and decided to prank them. We were even yelling to eachother man these pills are good dancing and laughing so much. They didnt do anything tho but it sure was funny. I say if u can do it then why not LOL

I've herassed undercovers when I've been clean aswell. But I think theres a HUGE difference between that and whats going on here. If this was all for an elaborate joke, the guys would most likely now be under at least some level of watch from the authority's.

If they're involved in drugs, not worth all the potential risks.

If they're not involved in drugs, then why would they wanna waste cops time?

^ They had the police monitor them or that vehicle, put bags of caffeine and MSM in it and let her be arrested all for a joke?

not for a joke... to find out if they were being sniffed out... or maybe to direct their attention away from something else...

seems awfully sus.

i think you're all missing the point - again, it wasn't any kind of phosphorous. It was just caff and MSM, and gave a false positive with a marquis im assuming.

She was then detained, locked up - charged, until a magistrate saw GC/MS analysis of the supposed 'drug precursors'.

The article makes it confusing in the first few lines.

Again i'm left to ponder, who the hell has that much MSM and Caff, if they're not going to sell it to a meth dealer?

Yeah, it does seem like some bad reporting/journalism. Among the other mistakes, I just noticed the acid was misspelled. Hypophosphorous acid is a solution, not a solid (from msds; HPH2O2 in aqueous solution, 30% ). However, if the acid was found - there were two distinct things mentioned in the article - then I stick by what I said above. I somehow doubt it though because no-one was ultimately charged.

For future reference; unless a journalist has a history of writing truthful and properly presented articles, then I'd say all such reports need to be taken with a pinch of salt - at least until there is confirmation.

Again i'm left to ponder, who the hell has that much MSM and Caff,

Someone in the body building/ health industry perhaps?

^Yeah if they happen to be a seller of such goods in perhaps a health food store, but not many people are carting around 5+kg of commonly used cutting agents.

MSM, if i recall, is useful with arthritic pain and things like that? I'm left again to wonder what vital role, bar *some* energy, or jitteryness - the caffeine in the mixture would play?

It's all relative IMO. I'm not doubting that her story could be true, but it would seem there is probably more to this than meets the eye.

Either way, i could care less. It's just interesting that her story mentions a family member who had used her car whilst being away, and happens to be a body builder. It's a good story to have, when it comes to a magistrate who's opinion, which when presented with evidence of no illegal conduct by the defendant, must remain unbiased to the facts/stories presented by LE/Defense.

I am also curious as to why the spot test reacted for meth? I'm going to assume that LE used a marquis reagent or similar to determine this?

Obviously the sample that was GC/MS tested wouldn't have been very large. And if all bags were tested, the possible contamination of meth in the large batch could have been very small, possibly even only in the small sample used at the beginning by LE. It's all speculation I know, but interesting nevertheless.

Yeah i couldn't care less either, but it is interesting discussion.

Maybe the spot test was contaminated by the police handling it, maybe there was contamination from a previous bust on equipment contained in the vehicle.. I wonder if they even bother looking into such things to ensure proceedings are not damaged by such mistakes.

I would hope so :/
