'DDF' is a term used in gay culture to mean 'drug and disease free'. i have a problem with this, but first let me talk about the first 'D'. saying that you are HIV- is completely meaningless to me. i will treat you like you're positive until i see test results, current ones that we take together as a step in commitment. thus i don't often claim HIV negative because if that's enough for you to want to drop the condoms, well, your reaction is enough to keep them on. i do safer sex, period, so a guy telling me he's positive is not a reason for me to turn him down. for one, its safer sex, always, and for another, i don't punish people for telling the truth if i can help it.

now i see things like 'DDF, tested last month' and i think - did they do the six panel or the ten? are you counting alcohol and nicotine? the people who have DDF in their profiles largely treat HIV+ men like lepers. how is smoking pot like have a deadly venereal disease? am i going to hold you down and blow smoke up your ass? maybe if you ask me nice =D i'm a *vegan* and i don't judge guys by their diets (and the minute i bring it up, they go off on some defensive tangent that has nothing to do with anything), how is getting stoned different? i think the term is offensive and worse than useless and needs to go. potheads, take a leaf from queernation: Silence=Death

i will always avoid that but also i avoid anyone who barebacks . i only did it in a proper monogamous relationship where we both got tested first.

gay everything is saturated with catchy memes. chems? who the fuck invented that? everything is a chemical from the ingredients for bread to salt on the table. idiots
 
DDF, chem friendly, poz undetectable, PNP, 420, poz friendly, parTy etc- the worst is CLEAN ! What does having HIV or an std or using drugs make you dirty ?

I find it scary how many guys are happy to fuck without condoms - yes I understand that pRep can stop HIV but its not safe sex.

how do you know if your partner is HIV+? it's like one of those logic games - the only people you can trust to tell you the truth are the ones telling you they're +. AND that's not at all the point - why are drugs equated to venereal diseases?

i know i'm negative...99% know.....but it doesn't matter, cause i'm not having sex without a condom until we get tested. if, at that point, your test comes back +, i'm not going to leave or run away. i'd like to think the other guy would do the same for me, but i know better.

hmmm pReP or whatever - tell me about it, tell me how it works and how proud you are of it. i'll listen til the end before i tell you how many people die for lack of those drugs every day. it's tacky.

I don' think having an STD/i is being equated the same way as using drugs though - not everyone accepts drug use and don't want to be associated with them. The same way that people do not want to have sex with somebody who has a STD.

Is it really that much of a problem if somebody says - I do not want to be associated with you if your a drug user or you have a STD? I would much rather have somebody say DDF before entering a relationship with them and they be upset about my drug use.

I'm not sure if your directing the later of your post at me or just in general?
 
I don't see how this is different than saying you don't want to play with fat people, or skinny people, or people with small penises, or people with giant penises, or people that smoke cigarettes, or people that have facial hair, or felons, or jay walkers.. different strokes for different folks!

Perhaps some people don't want someone who uses drugs because they were once an addict and it's too difficult for them? There could be many legitimate reasons.

As far as the whole DnD free thing. I'm betting it's leftover from the 80's and 90's, when people had to be especially cautious and were making it very clear what they were NOT ok with.

Its not really and has a lot to do with Meth! If your reason for having sex is to actually cum or have the guy cum then meeting a guy tweaked / crystal dick just gets boring and quickly. If they can get hard and want to fuck, they cannot cum - if they want to get fucked then you almost feel like regardless what you do they will move onto the next guy as soon as you cum.

Yes if your reason of having sex doesn't involve cumming (it doesn't always) then letting the guy know prior is (imho) a good thing.

I stand corrected! Thanks for the info. Even though I'm not gay myself, I find much of the culture(especially the underground scene from the early days) absolutely fascinating.

Your post ise as valid as mine and its as equally correct - My post is simply my point of view. 80/90's I never encountered the term DDF, and people simply said no drugs (dont forget that drugs were not that mainstream 20 years ago).

Now that drugs are sort of common, not everyone really wants to be part of it. I much rather know upfront if the person I'm meeting is high or not

the other side is PNP, party and play- that always means meth. the idea that there might be other aphrodisiacs out there just never comes up. i tried - back when it was legal, i got a PNP guy to do 5MeODiPT with me. it scared and frustrated him. if the PNP subculture revolved around Foxies or 2Cbees, i'd be on it like a duck on a june bug. but meth dick isn't appealling.

I actually mentioned PNP in my first post and since your talking about labels its 'crystal dick'. IF PnP involves your drug of choice then your game/happy but you get offended if somebody simply states - NO DRUGS?

How do you all feel about people who take PrEP? Or Truvada, or the Pre-HIV exposure drugs? Or who put this in their profile/personal ad?

I know some gay men who take it and they seem to think that it's OK to do it raw/without condoms like it's 1975, that they simply won't get infected with HIV or another strain, or the strain they have, or infect someone else with another strain or the strain they have, or get other STDs. 8(

PNP generally does mean crystal meth; but I know people who would PNP but they did it on opiates, or just alcohol and/or herb.

I also treat all sex partners-both male and female, as I'm bisexual-as though they're HIV+ or could have an STD.

I've never barebacked or had unprotected anal or vaginal sex with anyone; but that's my preference.

When I had sex with strangers or people I didn't know really well at all I just assumed they used drugs including alcohol, and pretty much everything else.

The only drug I ever used while having sex was alcohol 3 times from just being buzzed, to being drunk, and I did not enjoy it.

When I used drugs I never used meth since I was prescribed Adderall/Dexedrine and a very low dose of those would give me side effects like teeth clenching, sweating, and I've heard most people do not get those side effects unless they take larger doses.

If I see someone's profile or personal ad that says, "Neg as of (insert recent date here)" that does not mean anything to me as HIV and other STDs have a window period where a person can be recently infected and they'll show up as "neg" on tests.

I know people who think that the whole PNP thing is mainly for gay and bisexual men but that's not true as heterosexual people have sex with drugs or meth all the time. When I lived in a city where crystal meth use was common and some people were open about it I would see ads on Craigslist posted by all sort of people hetero, bi, gay, trans, men, and women looking to parTy/PNP.

nononono - that was a trial, it failed. 5MeODiPT and 2Cx are really not fun with people you don't know. they can lead to magical sex, but you have to have a relationship to begin with. that's my experience. i am familiar with methdick - guys on line begging you to fuck them, and it's just gross. PNP always means that - so i don't do it. but if one of the people i talk to regularly asked me over for some tryptamines and nookie, yeah, i'd go. no fool, me.

it offends me when people say "NO DRUGS" and then do a shot of cuervo and light a black&mild. assuming i did hookups, i wouldn't bring my MJ to it, the other person would never know or have any contact with it. we're not getting married here. if i go to a hookup and the guy is wearing cologne, he gets a shower first - i suppose i could say "NO ARTIFICIAL SCENTS OR FRAGRANCES" that *matters* to the misadventure at hand. me being a stoner does not. i should just lie, but i don't lie. and i don't do hookups, so it doesn't matter.

PReP - i haven't had anyone say anything to me about it. i doubt i'd respond well - i have issues with 1st world problems, those problems that do so worry the bloated ticks, fat off the blood of the third world.

This is very true, but there are plenty of scenarios where I think this drug would be beneficial.

I got into a bit of a heated discussion with my partner about it; she thinks that the drug is stupid and that they should just "get a cure instead" and anyone stupid enough to get HIV deserves it. =/

I too can see there being scenarios where the drug would be beneficial or useful; but if you take the drug you're supposed to use it with safer sex/condoms, and practicing ways not to get infected with HIV or infect someone else with it.

You're correct that the guy who claimed his dad worked for the DEA would probably not call him a narc. I knew a woman who was the daughter of someone in law enforcement and she didn't call him a narc.
