Nothing like the first few days of course but I have no energy and no idea what I should do today. The last 4 days I had to work, and that filled up my day. It was exhausting but at least it kept me busy. I also still have not really been eating much. Maybe one sandwich a day the last 3 days. Just no appetite. When did you feel normal after quitting? I was taking about 100-150mg/day of Hydro/perc, and the last 2 months about 200-250mg. Any advice is welcome!

You shouldn't feel like that on day 8 well maybe ya with your dosage that's insanity that's 30-40 Vicodin a day Bobby lee style... Alright the main reason is you need food man I know it's hard to eat , try to get low grade cannabis even if u hate it smoke just a small amount so you have small appetite get something simple but healthy oatmeal, yogurt with honey and some nuts and literally take one spoonful eat it and take a 5 minute break eat another spoonful take it easy but slowly put the fuel into the body like gasoline it might not feel so important cause we've been used to opiates controlling that aspect but now you're recovering and food /sleep/water are gonna control you more than opiates in terms of how you feel. So if needed take Benadryl or a benzo to fall asleep it's vital you sleep although benzo isn't legit REM sleep it's forced sleep but that could help just feel better . Also buy high 8.0-9.0 PH water and sip it throughout the day all day every day dehydration is a big opiate problem I'm in the same spot but not even at day 1 :/ I'm jealous of you and happy and wanna be u so please do what u can to help yourself don't mess up day 8 is amazing congrats !!!!

It gets alot easier not to use. I havent even thought about calling a connect in a few days. I just wish i had more energy. And i was talking percs and norcos this time around so they are 10mg. I am not sure you could take that much vicodin w/o getting liver failure. Best of luck to you though and hang in there. It does get easier.

I tried the MJ but I just dont like it. It gives me a slight buzz for about an hour but then when that rubs off i feel anxiety and paranoia for about 2 hours. Just not worth it.

Are you taking any kind of vitamins or multi nutrients?

I definitely would recommend taking something with magnesium. I take calcium/magnesium pills. It's easy to develop a magnesium deficiency due to opiate WD which will make you feel fatigued. More specifically you'll have muscle fatigue and muscle weakness. When I get this it feels like my legs have weights attached to them; just a lot of effort to even walk around. The magnesium gets rid of that feeling really well. I also take Omega 3 fish capsules to help with the depression and the feeling that things are uninteresting. It takes a few days for this to have a noticeable effect. Personally I think it works, but not everyone seems to find it helpful. I sometimes think people are expecting too much from it.

I vaporize weed to help with my mood and appetite. If you have experience with it I'd suggest a low dose of Adderall to help get motivated to do things. If you can get yourself to start doing things it can start to snowball in a good way.

Thanks Carl,
I will try the magnesium pill and see how it works. Day 10 today and its not too bad but its the same thing, fatigue. My lack of appetite is astonishing as Im a fairly big guy. But I just got work with it and it will get better. Taking walks helps tremendously but only for a couple hours after then the fatigue sets back in.

Walks are clutch. When I went through withdrawals I was taking 3 walks a day and just as many hot showers to calm the anxiety. Keep a positive mind best you can and take each day as it comes!

Yea Im over the laying in the shower portion but just wish I had more energy, but I know it will come. Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. It really does help people get through this stuff.

I'm on day 9 and understand the fatigue part I started taking multivitamins, magnesium and a b complex and it seems to help. Also just focusing on other things helps not think about it. I bought adult coloring books and colored pencils. Sounds cheesy but it helps keep my mind of everything. It will take time but every day it's a bit better. Good luck!! :)

First off your doing the right thing.I was taking 100 pills a day seriously untill it led to herion then the prison system screwed 10 years of my life up.Best thing to do is be honest with a doctor and family but a doc can give ativan it helps, but you do need to eat, gets better good luck

Thought I would update this. Im on 2 weeks. Everything feels pretty normal physically. I just wish I could figure out things to do that I will enjoy. Seemed like I was always in a good mood or busy wwhen i took pills. Now everything is boring. But its a process and I just try to excersize or something else that will take my mind off it. Work helps but Im off today so it was a little rough. Well thanks for anyone who writes back on here, it really does help. Thanks.

Hey I'm at 2 weeks as well and feel exactly the same. Physically the symptoms are gone but that boredom is hard to handle. It ends up making me a bit anxious and depressed. I'm throwing myself into as many things as I can to keep me busy. Sleep still sucks for me too but not as bad. I'm never going back though. Every day is a bit better than the last!! The past 2 weeks feels like years almost but I'm very proud of them. Glad you are hanging in there!

Good for you wanttobefree....Same here...just try to keep moving. Work helps kill most of the day but then on the days off its tough...but its not so bad i want to use anymore.
