Aight...Got a quick one for ya's...Does anybody ever feel like they got crawling in their muscles? i dont know how to explain the feeling but its like electricity or somethin running thru your arm or leg. Actually if you ever got electrocuted (slipped n touched a open socket by mistake, etc like im sure everyone did at some point, touched a uncovered wire, whatever) thats exactly what it feels like minus the pain. Just this crawly feeling. like zaps thru my muscles.

I looked up restless legs n whatnot and i used to think maybe i had that prob but lately it passed onto my left arm too. So i aint been able to sleep much becuz of this crazy feeling like ima bout to jump outta my skin with these weird sensations. Every night i jump outta bed all night long to try and stretch, jump up n down, shake my arms/legs, massage them, etc and nothin helps, I been doin physical activity to try and make myself tired but it aint workn and no OTC sleep meds are workin, opiates the only thing that can put me out so i dont feel these feelings. Did anyone else ever feel this shit or got any idea what it is? Its kinda hard to think of what to look up or how to research this but ima check up on google and see what i can find too, i just wanted some personal experiences. I aint on no medications and smoke weed everyday but never had this problem before. Hope thats enough info.

I get this too every once in a while. It usually goes away after a few days, some exercise, etc. One thing that can cause the "jumpy" feeling is poor blood flow in the legs. This is because blood travels kind of slow through the veins. This blood can pool in the legs and give the feeling of needing to move or contract your muscles. In my view this is natural because moving your legs will help clear that blood out. I've found that elevating my legs with a pillow or two helps a lot, cause it lets the blood flow downhill.

Well idk if you seen me mention it before i know isaid it in a few threads but im a housekeeper at a hotel so its a very physical job and i do alot of walking bending etc, so i dont think its from a lazy or lack of exercize thing. everyday i prolly walk the = of a few miles at least at work. Plus its in my one arm too. no matter how tired i am physically and mentally this shit will still keep me awake cuz i do everythign i can to try and tire myself out. I been self medicatin for it, but it kinda sux cuz so far every night that i dont take somethin, i get this. i dont wanna keep takin pills to sleep and hope it goes away, but its a cycle cuz w/out takin opiates/benzos then i got the question of will i be up all night and i rather not find out if i got work the next day u know?

Ima call n see if i can get a doctor appointment tomorrow to get it checked out cuz i know BL aint a doctor, but i was just curious to see if any of you guys knew what im talkin about so i had some ideas to go with. I aint even tryna necessarily figure out a cause just talk to people who know what i mean and can relate to this becuz im havin a real hard time explainin it to ppl in real life and i know there gotta be other peeps who feel this too. And PS, thanx for your reply dude. ill try that shit with the pillow.:)

I used to get this shit alllll the time along with heart palpitations. Went to the doc, they couldn't find what was wrong. Eventually it went away.

The closest experience I can think of is a creepy, jumpy feeling I had in my left leg. It lasted a couple of weeks before it went away on its own. It made me restless, jumpy, and uncomfortable when I went to bed.
What I think caused it and the reason it went away is a long story, but maybe you can find something in common with my experience and the sensation in your arm. I'm right-handed, and I had been doing a lot of computer work for several months - especially pointing-and-clicking with a right-handed mouse. The tendons and muslces in my right forearm became extremely sore and tender, the beginings of carpal tunnel syndrome or tendonitis I thought. So I avoided using my right arm whenever possible and hoped that my right arm would recover with rest. I switched to a left-handed mouse configuration, wrote left-handed, and even wanked left handed. Switching handed-ness is difficult. At first, I would tense the whole left side of my body and my leg while on the computer. Sometimes, I'd even squint my left eye and bite my lip from the effort when I had to write. Within a few days, my left leg got that feeling you describe. After a few weeks, I got used to using my left hand and relaxed when i used it. Right around that time, the creepy feeling in my left leg was gone.
I'm curious if you've recently started doing some new, repetitive physical activity with your opposite hand or leg, even.

I'd be interested to here more about your R wrist/arm tendonitis. At work I have to use one of those "stand up" computers on wheels, and my R wrist is starting to hurt a LOT from using the mouse constantly.

I used to get a shocking feeling up the front of my leg. I attributed it to stress, lack of sleep, overuse of stimulants and lack of vitamins during my final months of college. Once I graduated and started taking better care of myself, the pains stopped.

It sounds like its withdrawl symptoms. From reading other posts of yours, it seems that you use opiates regularly so is this a possibility?

I use to get horrible restless legs from heroin. I got it from other opiates as well but heroin made it the worse. I have felt the "electricity" feelings before during w/d. I have even had my brain tingle from withdrawls before (boy is that an odd, unpleasant feeling....)

Also I would take Chrissies advice. Try eating healthier and taking supplements regularly. Its good you are exercising but it might not be enough to make you feel good daily. (If the opiates are cut to twice a week im rather confident your "electricity" shocks will go away.....)

I'm no stranger to those horrific brain shocks, which are definately a different nature than the classic SSRI or MDXX induced brain zaps....exercise exercise exercise!!!!!

Could be anxiety? Sometimes when i get nervous i have a brain tumor i get that feeling.

lacy, I have the same symptoms you describe once in a while. Last week it was so bad, I actually broke down and cried (hadn't been able to fall asleep for days that shit would keep me up). But for some reason, they're gone now.

I don't know if you've been over-indulging in stims lately, but I think mine was cause by too much blow and not enough vitamins, etc. It's like my body just needed to readjust to "normal". If it happens again, I think I'll go see a doc.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hey yall...Thanx for the replies...Nice to see the thread bumped.....Well I dont do uppers, no stims or me...Im strickly a opiates n weed type of broad.

I dont think its anxiety. Its a physical feelin , and the rest of me feels fine...Til i start gettin the physical shit. Its actually the other way around. Gettin the feelings GIVES me anxiety, that i wont be able to sleep, etc. So who knows. I dont get anxiety problems from weed, Im blessed in that way, so i dont think thats it.

Lately I aint been gettin it but I guess thas really just cuz well...I been ....Taking care of that i guess every night with the guaranteed knockout(s) I mentioned before. :\ :| Not really helpin the problem. But the problem been nonexistent so its a bad cycle.....Use, no probs...Dont use, healthy, but get crawly legs....Sheeeit....
