i think the title is fairly self explanatory, but just in case, i'll expatiate a little bit.

i used to have an affair with methamphetamines, as i like to call that three month period of time. now, i have noticed, it would seem that stimulants (thus far, meth and various adhd medications) tend to have an inverted effect on those who have been described as having add; i've noticed that many people tend to get wired and antsy, constantly active and moving while consuming, tweaking out, etc; now, i did do many of those things, but not to the extent that i have noted other people do it. i always felt more relaxed, more lucid, and more clear-minded; i didn't feel frantic, i didn't have the desire to be active; a good 60% of the time or so, i didn't even find myself able to stay awake while on them, starting to fall asleep rapidly.

this was mostly when i was vaporizing it. after switching to insufflation during that time period, i noticed that some of the desire to be active increased a little bit, but not appreciably so.

i guess my question is, does anyone else have experience with this, or has anyone else noticed this about themselves or others?

disclaimer: i made an attempt to search for this, as i feel it would be a common topic. either i'm painfully wrong in my perceptions on others, or, i just don't know how to effectively search. much apologies if this is essentially a duplicate thread.

It's like two people, one taking the elevator from the basement to ground floor, the other from ground floor to 1st floor. You can argue, why one is high and the other normal? It's the starting point with respect to activation of the cortex. If you have ADHD you live in the basement.

that seems a fairly elegant way of explaining; i appreciate your analogy. after consulting with my mother in the past regarding it due to her 25 years of experience as a nurse, her theory on it was that it specifically simulates the parts of the cortex that are typically understimulated, in my case, tending to be the sections that coincide with maintaining focus and calm. i do not have a good enough appreciation for neurology to know if this is an accurate description.

Oh same,
I was perscibed adderall for much of my life, but Methamphetamine became my love. It didnt make me hyper and run around in circles it sedated me while every other drug puts me to sleep.
It allowed me to function in a world my ADHD self could not.
but i warn you the drug will change you.
I did also convince myself many things while using and one of them was that it helped me cope with my ADD, but the thing about meth is that it will often cause a person to justify and explain their use as something productive, but in the end it always lead to unproductivity.

yeah i remember the changes it made me feel. i remember how i started rationalizing the stupidest shit, how i would convince myself that it was okay to do b/c i was drawing an almost-pharmaceutical use from it.
