My first post here on bluelight forums , I enjoy to read your comments and I can sense you all are in road to recovery and that these are hard times for those who still have to bare the effects of this poison.
I too have the symptoms of decreased verbal expression and terrible real dreams when I go to sleep. I think after the meds got in I developed some signs of schizo because at night when I go to sleep I hear some voices from people I hang but they are not clear, althought they are not bothering me.
Clearly my brain has been shutted off by these meds but that is a positive sign because I was having a a hard time to deal with my brain functions because my thoughts were not "situation appropriate" and I was always zoned out which I believed it was part of my personality.
I think recovery is posible and there are lots of people that just quit taking paliperidone and they gather themselves reorganize and move towards.

Well, my question is, do this meds really rewire brain connections back to before adiction state or they can develop new effects on my normal chemistry? And one more, for decisive, does your creativity improve after recovery?
Thank you all, wish you the best

Hello friend, I was misdiagnosed with psychosis and forced to take this horrible med for five months. I have suffered a lot for the past five months, and will finally be allowed to come off of it next month. I am so unlucky as I was perfectly normal and yet I was injected with this toxin. Now, I am afraid that I will suffer from horrible withdrawal effects, and may even suffer from withdrawal psychosis... I cannot believe that I was tricked into taking this toxin. I may probably never live a normal life again. Sorry to hear that this med gave you some psychotic symptoms...

I am sorry, I do not have any answers to your questions my friend, but I want to ask you, how long have you been on Invega Sustenna? I would recommend you to get off of this poison as soon as possible.

My last injection was at the end of February, so just over 3 months. More people should discuss this serious issue.

Hey, Invegaman, I had 6 injections as well... I am coming off next month. Did you have any withdrawal symptoms coming off? I would really like to know your story. I was misdiagnosed also with psychosis and forced to take it under the mental health act...

In an attempt to flush the remaining poison out of my arms... going to do 40 push-ups a day for either the rest of my life or until the poison subsides completely.

@Spiral

Your question about invega's effects on brain chemistry long-term is one I believe most of us have. I haven't been able to find any research studies lasting over 6 months with invega sustenna, and even the data on those seem very biased, or at least innacurate based on the anecdotal evidence presented on forums such as this. I've asked multiple doctors this exact question and none of them seem to have an answer. I'm going to see a neurologist soon to try and see if there are any tests that can be run to determine the long-term effects of invega on the brain, more specifically the dopaminergic system. I'll keep everyone posted with how it goes.

What I can tell you is that I have noticed improvements 8 months off the invega sustenna. Prior to receiving the the injection, I was a professional mixed martial artist and had a manic state triggered after winning my 2nd pro match. This led to delusions and visual hallucinations that caused me to seek medical help. I received the shot on Sep. 20th, 2015 and this week was the first week I finally had enough energy to train martial arts again. Not super intense sparring or anything like that...but I was able to drill moves, do light sparring and get decent training sessions in the last 2 days. So it does get better.

@AbleArcher

Like I said earlier, a nurse practitioner told me that if you stop getting the invega shot without switching to pills then the shot will taper itself off. So its not really cold turkey because you will still be receiving smaller and smaller doses of invega as it weans out of your system.

Thanks Koz, I hope that I will get better one day. I anxiously await that one day... Hopefully it'll come!

I had 5 injections from October to February for being diagnosed bipolar due to substance misuse, the psychiatrist basically said because of cannabis and the odd line of coke I became bipolar. When I was sectioned I did think I was a messiah though haha but I'm sure without the Invega my brain would have adjusted with just a simple break from Illegal substances. Once happened to me now is it's been 5 months and my prolactin level is over 3x what it should be so its affected my testosterone levels which is the worst side effect, I have no drive, ambition, emotion it all just seems fake. I just want to lie in bed all day. The withdrawal effects vary for different individuals, mine are just the same as the side affects as when I was on the drug.
I'm a realistic person and I don't want to be negative but I don't know how my brain will recover from this, I think it's actually changed me from my core into a more submissive weak willed individual who views life in a bleak way. It sucks.

Thanks for your reply my friend . I haven't had as many side effects from the med as you, and my prolactin levels are normal, but I was on a low dose. I want to come off like you, I don't want any withdrawal symptoms. Can I recover in a few months?

Im a little bit anti-psychiatry even as though im on meds but I came to a conclusion that diminishing exaggeration of your ideals its not that bad of a deal even if its artificially induced in your mind. We all should be a little more humble towards others and the laws of the world self regulation because you can forget about others feelings when youre focused only on your view and your will. We became an over populated world and the resources are not unlimited and we all need some each of every person has wills and some get troubles with their minds because they think they're deserving of every thing but don't question what makes them wake up every day with health and motivation. Indeed for whoever who experiences this type of course of happenings with antipsichotics should end up at least minimum a little bit more humble and giving... should have understand that earlier because my thoughts were very centered on what I wanted and what I should do to improve even further and that was very frustrating because I couldn't get the empathy I needed to move on with relationships as they are demanding for each sides.

But I have to admit this sssssssuuuuckkkss!!The hope is big because I see a lot of people who had no real enduring issues after they pass the withdrawal phase the strain is during the effects still are actively in your body.
Dont be negative, just try to keep your dosage as low and quick as posible while youre in it.

Hey tina3000, you posted a link of invega side effects but the link is down now. I remember it said 2 years for hypertension and 5 years for something else, do you remember what it was?

@gdvffh, yes i got a ces device a week ago. It does have an impact. My eye twitching is gone and i am thinking more clear now. It's $1200, alpha stim.

Ive had invega side effects for two years, you might not need it since ive noticed some people are already recovered after ten months.

im just gonna keep using it every two days for 40 minutes for as long as it takes.

Im also taking b1,b6,b12,D,C,E and flaxseed oil for vitamins everyday.

Yes, I've been doing CES for about 3 weeks now. It has helped a little I think. I'm starting to go on walks now and I haven't done anything excersize like in months. Maybe it's a placebo and I'm just forcing myself to walk. I don't know. Either way, it's a step in the right direction. My ex whom is also my baby mamma wants to start walking with me too. That'll be fun.. Ha Ha.

I got my brain mapped today. I'll have the results next week, then the doctor will suggest further treatment specific to the results. He said he could tell I have anxiety just from the data alone. It'll be good to find out what parts of my brain are working.

There are alpha stim machines on Google shopping for $349-700, for the good ones (Fisher Wallace). But if you can find a doctor who will rent one to you like I did, that would be better. I'm told that you're only supposed to use it for 5 weeks. That may be if you're using it every day, for 60 minutes, like I am.

Hi Spiralspider,
Those meds don't rewire the brain connections, it's the extreme contrary since it slows your neuronal connectivity by the total blockade of your neurotransmitters (dopamine, serotonine, adrenaline, histamine etc...).
And of course, after my recovery I had a better creativity, imagination, I think faster and deeper, now I'm exactly like my prior state before the injections ! :)

Take care

I envy you decisive. Glad to know that you have recovered. I was wondering what withdrawal symptoms can I expect coming off? What withdrawal symptoms did you experience? I had the same total dose as you, except mine was spread over five months instead of three. I was misdiagnosed with psychosis in December 2015. Please help, thank you.

Hi AbleArcher83,

You have absolutely no reason to envy me, I've been through the same path as yours, recovery is just a matter of time and patience.
Everything has an end, I swear it.
The only withdrawal symptoms I had were insomnia and sometimes anxiety (a feeling as if my throat was really tight), but fortunaletly it went away after the 6th month off for the anxiety and the 7th month for the insomnia thanks to the sport. That's why it's really important to exercise because not only you'll recover your sleep but you'll also speed up your recovery because a lot of the poison is stored in your body fat.

Thanks Decisive. This past month was my last on Invega Sustenna. My stupid psychiatrist misdiagnosed me with psychosis. He tried to force me to take this med for six more months, but I was like hell no. Will I have really bad withdrawal symptoms? Or will I have an easy time? Did you experience sleep disturbances? I am finally glad to be quitting this med. I just hope that I don't get withdrawal psychosis. Is that even possible?

Hi decisive. I thought you said a little while back that you also had anhedonia and lack of motivation. Is that true? Cause that sort of gave me hope that those symptoms would get better for me.
