8 months time 20 % improvement..it definitely reach plateau/ceiling
Having a harder time than invega, invega is worse short term the first few months but long term abilify sucks...no change in anhedonia unfortunately
Taking 2.5 mg of abilify and keep tapering

It’s driving me to contemplate suicide, and she gets more emitionally hatefulthe more I question why she’s being hateful and passive aggressive, I thought when I had psychosis that I would kill my self in a few years but I can’t take the pain of being hated and bullied by my mother so I’m not sure how long I’ll be in this realm for
My family was the same, after a while they lost patience with me and when I told them I was suicidal they'd like get pissed off at me it was terrible. You just have to block them out and get through this without them and come here to vent. It almost drove me to suicide too and I was actually at the train line looking for a train to jump infront of but I didn't and a time later I have since recovered. You can do it

My mom also is the reason i got into the asylum i wasnt really psychotic (dont have a diagnosis) when i came out i suffered severe withdrawals and rebound psychosis after receiving on month worth of haldol injections (i never rejected taking meds) and a fuckoff dose of 1000mg seroquel. That hospital was run by an idiot. 2nd time i landed in the hospital was because of the withdrawals nobody warned me about then got shot by invega because i refused taking 45 mg of abilify....nobody informed me what invega was or how it is to me abilify is just as bad so i refused the abilify shot which was stupid. (Abilify is less toxic in general altho side effects can be worse). Note that during the2 nd hospital visit i was there to taper meds ...they fucked me over and raised my 5 mg tapering dose to 45 mg...even tho i was there as volunteer to taper meds they wouldnt let me go and thrown me on a CTO with invega shots

Rebound psychosis is completely unpredictable and there is nothing you can do to prevent it unless you taper slowly off meds. You see it with merek 8 months off. family fucked me over multiple times i cut them out of my lfe completely i never want to get fucked over again

I had 6 shots total including the loading dose. If I remember I took abilify tablets for a short time it was so long ago my memory is hazy I kinda don't remember the first two years been off the invega injections it's so weird too.
No rebound psychoses?what are you on now?
Does face fat ever go away?
Yes.
I got my new license yesterday & I thought the comparison between my new & old license really showed the difference between what invega does to your face vs. Normal. The first photo is from Nov 2019, exactly one year after my first shot but only 9 months after recovery . It was still hard to do things at the time, even to plan a trip to the DMV and follow directions there. But forcing yourself to do such things help recovery.
The second photo is from my license yesterday. Im 7 months pregnant, so 185 lb, carrying a good amount of fat, but you can clearly see the difference in fat distribution across the face before & after invega. My WA license almost looks like i had facial fillers. Lol. Ive also included a family photo from right after my 3rd psychosis in June of last year . I had problems with eating during the mental breakdown & you can clearly see that a "skinny face" is possible, though i would say you need around 2 years off invega to get there.

Hello everybody, I am new to this forum and I’ve read through v6. I had the Xeplion shot 150 + 100 + 3x 75 and my last blood test I still had 50 left in my bloodstream. I must say I have gotten much better after being off for a month and a half. I go to work in the morning and take long walks in the evening. I must say the hardest thing on this drug is to pass time as it moves so slowly. I had really bad anhedonia a month ago and the replys in these threads scared me alot!

Also, Mereks posts confuses me. He told me he’s recovered, but then goes awall. I hope he’s okay because ppl like him were a positive influence on this thread.
I'm glad you're feeling better. Rebound psychosis once enough of the meds are out of your system enough are very real & seem to happen to almost everyone. You will still need to deal with all the issues that made you psychotic in the first place once your brain is "unpaused" from invega, so be prepared.
Hello there,

I was wondering if any of you all had a psychotic delusion involving either religion, evil, or parallel universes. The “delusional” state is in my intellectual ego. I do not think that the medicine is helping.

Also, I’m interested in reading more novels like “The Lathe of Heaven” which involves changing the continuum with dreaming. I, however, think I changed the continuum by “living” the legal fiction that now favours infringement of the body instead of autonomy, as Some of you have had the experience of being involuntary injected. From then on, I experienced highly unusual effects and I wonder what the quantum ingredients are of this injection. I’ve heard it contents included crystallised inorganic material. I was wondering if this is able to make a digital copy of you, henceforth the ahedonia and the feeling of being disembodied after the injections.
The Lathe of Heaven and The Left Hand of Darkness as well as numerology, the book of revelation & other parts of the Bible played a huge role in the first psychosis. I also fixated on ideas like quantum mechanics and crystal refractions as you do. These thoughts make us feel powerful, but if we want to live a stable life, we must CHOOSE to disbelieve in them. Somethings humans. Can't understand. And revolving our entire psyche around them provides neither us nor humanity any benefit, instead just overload ing our already fragile mental balance. Therapy helps a lot - "just because you think something, doesn't mean it's true". Best of luck in your recovery
Anyone else family completely deserted them after Invega? My mum has hated and emotionally abused me ever since
Yes. I no longer talk to any of my family (very close with my husband's family still). They believe that who I was on invega is who I really am. Either that or who I am when I'm psychotic. It took me a long time to realize that neither is true, and that I don't deserve to be treated that way. I moved out of state. I still send my mom cards out of respect for her. But it's funny and sad how one drug can destroy thirty years of your existence to some people and make you a different person in their eyes forever.

I'm extremely lucky that my husband still knows that I'm the person I was when he met me, before my brother died and before all of this grief entered our lives

I may not know as much about APs as some of you, but I do know a fair bit about fitness and nutrition so I'm going to add a few notes here:
You simply have to be in a caloric deficit. Change your diet to include loads of salads and vegetables. Buy low fat everything and stay away from caloric drinks. Coke zero instead of regular. Just so you know, lifting weights doesn’t burn much calories, you need to run. Daily powerwalks won’t hurt either. Get used to chicken and broccoli, fasting may help if you like big meals instead of many small meals. Good luck!
Everything you said is great, however I would suggest to cut out sugars altogether if you're seriously wanting to lose weight. Sugar is the main culprit for weight gain, or lack of weight loss. So this means no soda at all, not even the "sugar free" ones. The fake sugars they have in them still trick your body in to thinking it's had some sugar. Drink water or herbal teas.
Also, lifting weights definitely burns a good amount of calories, as the body keeps burning calories even after you finish working out, as the muscle fibres are repairing. However yes cardio also burns calories, obviously. If you want to get serious about burning calories, do a weights workout then some cardio immediately afterwards. But I am acutely aware that a lot of people in this thread won't have the energy or motivation to do that due to anhedonia.
If someone wants to pick the best form of exercise for weight loss whilst also experiencing anhedonia I would suggest interval training, doing sprints, running up sets of stairs, doing short bursts of high intensity activity (High Intensity Interval Training, aka HIIT). It makes the workout feel like it's over faster, and it gets your heart rate up and gets you sweating real nice, which = calories burning.

Carnivore diet is also effective
This may be true but it is also pretty expensive and not a viable option for a lot of people, especially if they're unable to work due to their side effects.

I would also recommend hitting a tanning salon once in a while, or a sauna. Won’t improve weight but I feel 10 pounds lighter afterwards. Summer is coming up and I believe sunshine is a tremendous mood booster. I also think it flushes out the drug faster but can’t prove anything
I have to strongly advise against tanning booths and sunbaking. Both of these can cause skin cancers. Yes, daily sunshine is really important to boost your mood, and it is vital for vitamin D production in the body, but you only need 10-15 minutes a day in the sunlight for these effects, not extended periods of time.

what's your BMI. Mine is 20.4
I would advise against using the BMI to measure your appropriate weight. It is an incredibly outdated and inaccurate scale and there are a LOT of body types that it simply does not measure accurately. It consistently causes very skewed results and should just be avoided.
A better way to measure YOUR PERSONAL WEIGHT LOSS is to record your body measurements once a week i.e. waist, chest, thighs diameter, take before and after photos and compare them, consult with your doctor for advice. If your doctor refers to the BMI they are just being lazy and/or uneducated, so see a different doctor.

No point in drinking anyway I don’t even feel anything
Plus alcohol is just pure poison, it does SO much damage to every single organ in your body, bar none. And it is VERY high in calories!! If someone is trying to lose weight, but is drinking alcohol, they will not lose weight. Alcohol contains a surprisingly high amount of calories. Keep that in mind everyone!

I'm so sorry to hear about the stress your own mum is putting you through. Why is she doing that?

I agree it’s inhumane. I’ve completely lost my personality around people. I can’t have a conversation with anyone outside of my family. I tend to look at the ground. It’s terrible what this medication has done to me. Especially what it has done to people that have been off for upwards of 2 years now. I agree it causes permanent changes in some people. Hopefully it’s not us.

I have to disagree with you where you said sugar free is blocking your weight loss, thats totally not true Ive lost 15kg in 3 months on a diet with diet coke every now and then, its fine. Sugar free drinks like diet coke or coke zero doesnt affect weight loss its better than full sugar coke Ive done quite abit research on this and turns out sugar free drinks doesn't block ketogenesis where sugar is turn into fat since there is no sugar,
Diet soda's contain no calories so if youre gaining weight its because your calorie intake is high

"While scientific evidence has not yet confirmed a direct link between diet soda or artificial sweeteners and weight gai"
