Hey guys...is there any clean solution for sleep issues, im taking a lot of things for sleep ,gaba ,melatonin, magnesium plus seroquel...i wanna cut the seroquel but i know i cant sleep without it...so is there any suggestions?
Be careful with the gabapentin as it is addictive, as I am sure you're aware. I'd personally stop using it especially if it's not helping or if you're finding that you're taking higher and higher doses of it to get the same effect, because this obviously means you're gaining a tolerance to it, i.e. becoming addicted to it.

You can try some antihistamines BUT they have to be the ones that induce lethargy. A lot of antihistamines on the market these days are "non-drowsy", these are obviously not going to help. The 2 that I would recommend are doxylamine (very effective in my personal experience, I always have it in my medicine stash), and promethazine (Phenergan). But please tell your doctor or pharmacist every medication that you're currently on before trying these, as there are interactions with some medications.

A lot of people underestimate the use of herbal teas for sleep. Chamomile tea is particularly effective (again, I always have a stash of it in my cupboard for when I can't sleep), and you can get teabag products that contain multiple different herbs known for assisting with sleep. Even just the pure calming effect of having a nice warm soothing tea right before bed can help. I recall times when I have been in detoxes and rehabs for drug and alcohol cessation, and have gotten the other inpatients on to chamomile tea to help with sleep. We'd all sit around before bed outside drinking a hundred little cups of chamomile tea and smoking cigarettes and chatting, everyone slept like logs afterwards 😊

You mentioned that you're taking magnesium, which can help immensely with sleep. You can also take a warm soothing bath with Epsom salts which contain magnesium and absorbs in to your skin, right before bed. This can help with muscle relaxation and akasthisia also.

Additionally, other sleep hygiene methods can help such as avoiding any screen time for 1 hour before going to bed (you can read a book or magazine or talk with family members/housemates instead), reserving your bed for sleeping and sex only (as opposed to using your bed for eating and watching TV or using your laptop or for work or studying purposes etc), going to bed at the same time each night so your Circadian rhythm gets in to a nice groove, and having a nice clean bed to get in to (this includes washing your sheets once a week, and making your bed every day when you get up).

As a sufferer of chronic insomnia my entire life, well before I ever got in to drugs and alcohol and had cPTSD, I have tried everything to help with sleep, and I hope the above information helps you <3

Okay. Could you please define what bdnf means?
I believe (and please correct me if I am wrong) that they are referring to Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor which amongst other thing assists with neuroplasticity i.e. creating, repairing and redirecting neurons in the brain.
Exercise is arguable the best way to increase BDNF.

Okay I understand. But having undergone the process myself, i suggest the use of LSD, MDMA and CBD oil at the END of the process so as to get the most these psychedelics.

Yes, please for that very purpose refrain from advising the use of psychedelics as a method of assisting with recovery from Invega. Please be mindful that some posters in this thread do legitimately have mental disorders where psychedelics may induce psychosis. (I say this as a huge lover of psychedelics myself, but their use must be treated with caution in people who have experienced any kind of psychosis in the past).

Use LSD, MDMA and cbd oil after one year and a half. Its gonna make you heal.
LSD and cbd oil can help a lot yes, I used LSD when I was 5-6 months off invega and it helped a lot even then ima wait too use cbd oil cause it may slow down your metabolism of paliparadone, I wouldn’t recommend MDMA tbh it’s neurotoxic and can fry your serotonin receptors sometimes even permanently with abuse MDMA isn’t a good drug to use therapeutically it’s a party drug to do for fun every now and then it feels fucking awesome but it’s terrible for your brain I know a few people who permanently went retarded from chronic MDMA abuse.

Better to avoid drugs altogether, except some weed.

Yeah use of psychedelics can be difficult if one has been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder. I think that anything that can reduce the ego can also cause issues if there's a crisis of some sort.

im doing well. I feel fine. Btw in your journey, did you notice that invega actually makes you smarter? I did. Im actually of taking invega again.

Why not try a less shitty antipsychotic like zyprexa? Ever since going on zyprexa my attention span seems to be back to itt's not so great self.

Ya i think where as i have tripped so much in the past though i should be fine. Psychosis is nothing like tripping anyway it's far more like a deleriant like dramamine or what my friend described on datura

Once again, can we please REFRAIN from condoning the use of any illicit substances to aid in recovery from Invega in this thread. Although you may have found a certain substance to be helpful, it may lead some people to think that it's safe for them to try, which could lead to a relapse of psychosis in some patients. We have an entire forum to discuss the use of drugs and how they have helped you. Please post about your experiences with illicit substances in any of the following forums:

Basic Drug Discussion
MDMA & Empathogenic Drugs Discussion
Cannabis Discussion
Psychedelic Drugs Discussion

Other Drugs Discussion - use this forum for discussing the use of opiates

I’m almost 7 months off invega sustenna now and I officially have my ability to workout 100% back like pre injections, my split is chest and triceps, back and biceps, and legs and core while working out on the injections I would get super fatigued by the time I was done with my chest back and leg workouts and I could barely get anything done with my arms are abs after, it was steadily improving for a while and now just this week I worked really hard on triceps, biceps, and core and now I can lift pretty much as much weight as I could have pre invega, I don’t look as toned however it still looks good but not like pre invega I think this has to do with how invega effects hormones like prolactin I’m confident I’ll get the tone back one day too though.
