I
Little update on my emotion situation: Yesterday I was playing games with some friends and one of them cracked a joke which wasn't even *that* good but I still laughed my ass off at it for a minute, followed by a minuscule moment of weakness because of how long it has been since that even happened

I'm still unsure whether or not this is a slight signal of recovery or if I'm just placebo'ing out of every little thing I notice as I'm still only 2 (two) months off
I lost completely my sense of humor I live in constant misery

Todays the day the shot is scheduled! No shot for me! Cant wait for this shit to leave my system!
You were also sleeping and working I guess

I don't want to kill myself for xeplion, but I don't see an end to this.

I didn't get off of antipsychotics (well I did for a few months) and I felt my normal emotions come back after 6 months, much like others. (after me switching to a med I can personally tolerate of course. I'm on commitment so I have to be on APs). You will recover, but it takes some time.

Average time to feel normal emotions is 12months, that is average calculated from all users in past threads.

Im 11.6 months off and I feel partial emotions + they are less often then before + they are far from normal in strenght but maybe almost halfway there.

You gaslighting me? As I've learned it's physiological how fast you feel better, so one person's experience differs from one another. From V2 i've seen that a lot of people felt better after 6 months though, some earlier some later. Maybe not completely recovered, but they felt better.

I personally felt better at 6 months off "much like others" but not all.

Dont give people false hope, please. At 6 months I was like shit but a bit better, less (almost)full body pains and less chest pains. Less anhedonia but still severe.

Just read this thread and you will see how most people are feeling at 6 months off - like total shit, But there is almost always worse for sure.

I've just seen a lot of others see improvements after 6 months, from this forum and a forum called "schizophrenia."
YES of course lot of them see, I did too, but its like from extreme ultra severe anhedonia to ultra severe anhedonia situation. Not to mention other problems.

So what medication are you on now? Are you saying your on an antipsychotic but you feel normal?
I'm on risperdal. Seems like it's the only antipsychotic my body agrees with and after being off for a few months I'm noticing it actually helps with my disorder and I can actually feel my emotions and enjoy things while on it unlike other antipsychotics I've been on. There's a couple things I have issues with like weight gain from all antipsychotics (50lbs), low energy, unable to feel weed.. I don't want to be on an antipsychotics at all, but for now while I'm on commitment and court ordered to take them, this will do. I've been on Haldol and Invega and those two medications pretty much rendered me useless. Been on fluphenazine but that made me really weak and I was still struggling with my anger on zyprexa. My doctor keeps me away from abilify and another antipsychotic I can't name, luckily. I've seen others really struggle with their doctor which sucks to see.

I think I remember you were (or are) on risperdal too but you struggle with it? Maybe it was someone else.

I said NiNa will recover hopefully ... but it's a long process. often over a year. I'm 11.5 months old .. it's a little better. weight does not decrease even with diet and sport ... do you think weight is permanent? do you think we will return to 100% anyway 1 year to get better not to heal ... I still feel blocked receptors. little effectiveness of sleeping pills. I don't feel the effect of the coffee. also welbutrin will probably not feel the full effect because invega prevents you from receiving dopamine .. I train. but still a long way from getting a driving license or having a job. or a normal life. it was difficult before. Could 25 mg of seroquel taken for 9 years have affected weight gain? and depression or is it a low rate. because I often use it as a sleeping pill. or I use stilnox tavor (which doesn't even have an effect)

Best of luck to you. Have you been on Invega for awhile?

I've seen plenty of people recover 100%. Generally the longer you've been on it the longer it takes to recover and there's really no predicting when you'll recover, but you do eventually get there. People generally lose the weight at some point, but I read it could be permanent. I'm assuming the weight can be lost once the medication is out of your system though. I've lost the weight while I was off meds for a moment there, but for me it didn't take as long because risperdal doesn't last nearly as long as invega.
I've seen Welbutrin work for somebody while they were on Abilify though, which is also another long lasting antipsychotic that blocks dopamine, so maybe it's worth a try. I'm on Welbutrin currently while taking Risperdal and it still helps with my energy levels and depression. Up to you though my man. Invega sucks, I've been on it before, but just hang in there and keep at it with the activity so you're not dwelling on this poison so much.
