Thanks for all the support
Your only what 5 months off. There are pll that recovered after a year. Even ive recovered from antipsychotics and itntook around a year to recover. Just hang in there another 6 months and you should be the sharp guy you used to be and have energy again.

It sure beats my situation. Im still getting injections every month and my only hope is in a different medication making me feel better. Whether its ulotaront that may take like 5 years to get approved in canada or switching to seroquel or rexulti and hoping i feel better from those. Its a long process but you cant give up life is too precious to just die when there is hope on the way. Im sure youll feel better in the 1 year mark.

I got psychosis from smoking weed everyday. Man do i regret smoking weed now. If i knew smoking weed woulf hsve resulted in psychosis i never would have touch it. My dad warned me a lot to not smoke weed i cant believe he was right about something for a change.

Hey guys still not fully recovered, it’s a marathon not a race! Just know regardless Invega won’t ruin us forever, there’s things we can do if we need it. But give it time. It gets better for sure. But a bitch ass medicine like Invega should not be able to be injected. We got this fr just gotta hang in there.
How long have you been off?

I'd be dead if I had been more comfortable with a gun

Don't kill yourself, all valleys end in high ground, even this one.

Please, do not do that. I can assure you that this is just beginning. That's why you feel bad now. But it won't always be like that.
Please, do not do it, it is an impulsive decision and it will take you to a place of worse suffering than now. And the suffering that you have now I swear to you that it has a solution. it's a matter of time. I know it's hard but it's TIME.
I feel as if you were my brother, months ago I read this forum, and I see your downfalls and small and slow progress. I know that you look for the solution in drugs as an alternative to all that suffering, but it only led to more suffering.

I repeat, I feel that you are my brother, he has depression and has attempted suicide several times for 8 years, and you cannot imagine the depression and anguish that caused me.
And on top of that, the psichiatrists gave him antipsychotics and that made his depression worse and his suicide attempts worse.
You can't imagine the anguish that my whole family went through with him.
But you know what? time solved it and today he is much better, he can smile and is more aware of his actions. Please I beg you, don't try it, be aware, breathe, look around you at all the damage you can cause and that you will cause yourself. Believe me it is the worst decision my brother. I beg you to be here with me, I am here to talk about whatever you need, I am with you in your fight.

I still ask if I'm recovered even after 19 months off taking the Invega pills. Well actually I guess my symptoms of not having thoughts stems from the shot I got in feb 2020, that's actually 2 years by now. It's been 2 years and I still feel like I haven't been like I was before. I still feel anhedonia, my cognitive functions improved quite a bit, same with libido.

Sorry if I don't write coherently.

well at least your cognition and libido improved, if its been 2 years you should be recovered, maybe just try doing stuff at this point, maybe your just used to doing nothing all the time so thats why your doing nothing lol. if my cognition was fine id be doing things all the time lol. Are you able to get high off weed or able to get drunk? those to me are symptoms of recovery because it means you have dopamine.
Why did you get put on invega? were you experiencing psychosis?

Yeah it's possible. I guess being on this site and being bored can trigger reminiscing about the side effects. Idk I don't use these drugs so it's difficult to say. But I feel excited when I'm about to play soccer/football games. I feel thrilled. I guess you can say it's a sign that my dopamine receptors are back.
Also when I take coffee or Ritalin (prescribed for narcolepsy and helps add symptoms) I feel motivation, pleasure, contenmtent(I guess bcs it alleviates add symptoms and dopamine release),motivation to finish off tasks, etc
I get those memories back when you're around Friends and/or when alone and hearing certain music triggering thoughts about the past/nostalgia. Which I did'nt when on ap's or less. My cognition hella had improved. I can take IQ tests (maybe not yet as before but it's not a problem),common sense is back, inituation, social iq,problem sol ING,knowledge acquired, logica, etc although some of these assets weren't really removed per say just more foggy (You can't per se become intelligent to stupid immeadetely unless suffering from brain damage or something is neurological wrong).
Retaining memory,reading has improved definetely.

Yeah willing to shower, going to a barber, etc gas come back. Living independently is less/ of a/not a problem too :p
Finding wonen attractieve has come back.
Idk maybe some of these issues did I already had before Invega or was/is part of life.

Idk I might wrote that comment bcs of ongoing exams comming up and/maybe Ritalin rebound/wearing off but I guess due algoing stress around.

I was put on Invega for nothing lol (I wasn't mentally i'll, I thought I was crazy or mentally i'll, but I guess stress was my culprit). I put myself on the psychiatric unit of the hospital lol. Dumbest decision I made until this day. I actually knew of all the side effects (due high iq and being extensively on the internet) before they gave me one pill and in aftermath did actually experience them too
So no I did'nt really had psychosis (no hallucinations,no delusions) maybe just restlessness because of exam stress but yeah everyone experiences that sometimes.

I might have recovered maybe staying at home, being bored, etc cause me thinking back about these side effects (while theyve definetely have improved if If now look at times back). I'll have to do my hobbies again, exercise, accomplish my studies, etc

Sorry if my English seems wrong though :p

Anyone know when prolactin levels decrease after taking Invega Sustenna? What is the time frame?

Yes, about 8-10 months. My prolactin level was 135 at 4 months off and about 20 at 8 months off

Yes, it is. According to the invega sustenna website, it takes 10 months for the medication to be completely metabolized by the body. But you should notice weight loss at the 6 month mark with diet and exercise.
I have been injected twice and both times I started losing weight at around 6 months. By the 12 month mark 90% of the people have recovered mentally and physically.

it sounds like your pretty much recovered, congratulations. i think your just used to doing nothing for so long so now your just doing nothing. why not try doing stuff and see how it goes?

Thanks for all your advice! You’re a big help!

Has anybody recovered earlier than the 10 month mark? I’m at 63 days. I’ve been chugging water and working out. Weight is almost impossible to get off. Even with someone with a high metabolism. I’ve always been super thin. I received both shots 234 and 150 sum. Thanks for all the advice. This forum is a life savor! 😁

I have read about people recovering as early as 5 months. I think it was @Hopefuldopeful and some others, but most recover at the 12 month mark.
The first 4 months are the worst, because the medication is being slowly released from the muscle into the bloodstream every day for 126 days ( which is 4 months, 6 days ). So even if you have a high metabolism, the medication will restrict weight loss no matter what you do. All you need right now is patience and something to keep you busy so you’re not thinking about the mess that is invega.
By the 5 month or 6 month mark you should notice weight loss.

I will also add that I gradually gained weight in the first 4 months after being injected, I think it was like 2 pounds every week for 16 weeks (126 days).
So if your weight is steady and not shooting up every week, consider yourself lucky and continue with the exercise and diet. At the very least you can prevent adding more weight, but weight loss at this stage is not possible unless you hit the 5 or 6 month mark.

Try l-tyrosine for anhedonia (is dopamine)

For another sintoms try:
-Magnesio
-Vit C
-Probiotics (this is so important for your bacterial flora and better depression/esquizofrenia)
-5htp (this is for serotonin)
-Vit b1 b3 and b12

If you have problems with your thyroid or prolactine try with:
-Selenio
-Zinc
- L-tyrosine is good for this too (but be careful if you have hipertiroidism)

Sorry my very bad english

For all those people who think that schizophrenia has no solution, they are wrong.
Simply the millionaire pharmacists do not want you to know that the solution is vitamins, amino acids and minerals.

If you don't believe me, look into Abram Hoffer, he discovered that with high doses of vitamin b3 (niacin) and vitamin C, the symptoms of schizophrenia disappeared.
This is from many years ago, but they wanted to discredit it. And of course the marketing around these shitty psychopharmaceuticals is much better than the one around "simple vitamins".
Try it yourself, who would think that a vitamin can cure you? There is no marketing around this, but there are many cases that claim to have cured or improved their symptoms.

I recommend you investigate about this, it is called orthomolecular psychiatry. And I really recommend you to watch Dr. Berg's youtube channel, he knows a lot about these topics, and about natural and effective medicines.

Little rant - I’m 71 days off my last Invega Sustenna injection of 50mgs at 38 days apart. I started taking Geodon on Dec. 19th I weighed 127/128 pounds since then I’ve been eating a really low calorie diet and am down to 121 pounds but I’ve been sitting at 121 pounds for almost a month with no other weight loss. I also exercise everyday. My prolactin level is high right now but it was also high on Invega Sustenna and I got down to 114pounds on Invega Sustenna so I don’t know if weight loss is directly in connection to prolactin levels. I feel hopeless. I have always been thin weighing around 110 to 106 my entire life. So I’m about 13 pounds over weight. I’m wondering if Geodon is making it impossible to lose weight. If that’s the case I don’t know what else I could do. I developed an eye twitch, droopy eyelid and arm twitch on Invega Sustenna and felt really off on it so I can’t go back to Invega Sustenna. But Geodon is supposed to be weight neutral and not effect prolactin levels so I switched to it in hopes I would lose some weight and feel better. I know some people have had to wait six months of being off Invega Sustenna to see any weight loss. So I’m waiting patiently but my situations different because I’m on geodon now. I don’t know what to do.
