Hi, I met a friend yesterday who has been using drugs for a long time. He said he was just out of the hospital where he undergone a total blood clean-up after he came there by his own will. He looks great now. It took him 5 days (he must have been really fucked up:\ ) And, honestly, I feel I need it, too. I'm just going to have a break and it's not so easy... I think 5 days is too cool, and expensive... It's not so @emergency@ for me, I mean I think 1 day will be enough... Could anyone recommend me anything like that? I heard it's kinda hard to just quit and feel good, because the toxins go out through your body and it affects your mood, your physical wellbeing and everything while it happens...

Eat lots and lots of fruits and vegetables and drink a shitload of water so that you have to pee every half hour. Maybe eat some fish, and natural carbs. Stay away from other meats, and anything processed. Take a good multivitamin. Try to get access to a steam room or sauna and sweat once a day. If you cannot get access to these, try taking a really fucking hot bath or shower, or anything that will make you sweat.

BTW this is not scientifically backed up at all but it works for me.

The best way to eliminate "toxins" in your body is to stop ingesting them. Your liver, kidneys, etc. will get rid of anything floating around fairly quickly. The human body is quite adept at eliminating chemicals that do it harm.

Eat right, drink a moderate amount of liquid, get lots of rest. Your body will take care of the rest....

"Chelation Therapy"... 8(

Pure quackery. Save your money.

what drugs specifically? I need at least a month to recover from heavy marijuana. Thats mentallly fit, as for the body, do all of the above. Time is a good friend here.

I drink lots of water and ginger/green tea, take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in water 3x a day, eat healthy and moderately, and exercise daily.

Interestingly my girlfriend suffered from multiple chemical sensitivity. Taking AOR's "ortho-core", which contains products which stimulants phase II detoxification pathways caused a dramatic improvement in her condition. There's some evidence suggesting impaired detoxification pathways in people with autism.

In any event, "detoxing" after long-term drug use isn't going to accomplish much. Eating well, exercising properly, providing good mental stimulation and ensuring good nutrition is going to be the major key to recovery.

What is there to detox?

I always take a multiv in the morning and after big nights out i also take an antioxidant pill by microgenics. Drink lots of water, eat lots of fruits and veg and catch up on your sleep. Exercise will also improve your immune system among other things to help your body repair.

I disagree with your claims of "quackery". Do some research.

An opinion is one thing, ignorance is another.

It is my opinion that Chelation Therapy in the context of cleaning "toxins accumulated from drug use", out of the body is nonsense. If a doctor somewhere is advocating CT for this purpose it is quackery. The practice itself does have some legitimate medical merit. Removing heavy metals in cases of poisoning etc. If your drugs have heavy metals in them.... maybe this therapy might help?

Sorry to be unclear.

This is an interesting article you might want to check out. Relates to false claims about CT's effect on atherosclerosis and other heart problems... interesting in terms of the way a legitimate practice can be twisted into quackery.
