vamped is actually vamped or ramped....Really only heard it back east...All it means is, getting surrounded by a bunch of cops who immediately begin to search you, throw you on the ground and tear everything apart....Usually used in reference to a place, "Yo the spot got vamped on yesterday, stay away!"...Sorry to confuse you guys! lol

I've actually read numerous posts about empty foils. Well before I drove away I opened one and low and behold there was at least some sort of powder. So I drive over to my favorite Starbucks to use their single person bathroom(my office). When mixed with water it had that slightly yellow/champagne/piss color and when it heated it separated and there was clearly lots of floaters/fillers and cut so I didn't get my hopes up, the cotton however filtered everything just fine. Anyways the shit turned out to be fucking fire. Even more fire than the bags I had came for. The dope had a nice rush with those pleasant pricklies and a really smoothe and gentle warmth not too mention the good itchiness like only good dope does and really strong legs. Like at least four/five hours. Now my question is where did these d boys come from and can I find them again

Vamped sounds like it's a Chicago thing to me. Out here people say popped or pinched but, then again the cops don't just take over whole streets at a time here either.

Edit-you aren't supposed to heat dope because diacetlmorphine is very water soluble. I know that it's common practice but, heating will only ensure that more cut makes it into your shot. You can choose not to listen but, please don't promote reckless behavior.

^Yeah, you gotta call their bluff...Ya gotta understand, the runners make more money off the singles, so it's not suprising...It sucks givin up your money when you don't know what you're gettin...
One time, I copped my shit, back east...I had 4 half gram baggies of dope and three bags of rock in my mouth...I parked the next street over. Walkin away, back to the car, I noticed three cars comin up on me really quick! I ducked into a liquor store and swallowed the bags. ten seconds later, the cops came and threw me on the ground, made me take my shoes off, etc. That's gettin "vamped", just to clarify...

And yeah, where I'm from, every so often, they'd just roll up on a street and round up everyone out there and run their names and search 'em!...It's called "community policing"!...That's why, it's mostly phone connects now...

Maybe Chi's just to big to do that...but they pretty much sucessfully shut down most of the NYC open air using the same techniques too! I don't wanna give the sops any ideas..lol

There's no way they could shut down all the open air in chi. Way too many. Hell , the cops are always around where I cop and it ain't slowing anything down except the inconvenience of making the d boys play musical chairs by moving a block over when the spot gets shut down for however many hours the cops chill and as soon as they gone everyone goes exactly where they were before.
 
^yeah, there's still open air rock on the east coast, it seems like the rock dealers don't give as much of a shit as the dope dealers!...And in Baltimore and other places, it's still open air, but they've managed to spook a lot H dealers off the corners on a lot of the east coast...It's still there, it's just a little harder to find....

They got these bicycle cops that just post up on all the major spots all day long and it just disrupts everything...No point to it in the end! everyones gonna do what they were doin anyway!
 
It doesn't make any sense, I know...It just seems like crack dealers are less cautious and continue to deal until the later hours, whereas, dope dealers tend to shut down earlier and be more cautious, overall...

Sometimes they'll have it stashed,
sometimes they'll keep in in their mouth, it all depends

crack, where I come from, seems to be more common than dope...for every one dope boy, you'll find three kids with rocks

If you don't cop your dope for the day by 9-10 PM, you can still get it, but chances are it's gonna be smaller and of shittier quality in general...It's always been that way... it's a bit of a mystery...especially since they've switched to plastic bags for H...

In theory, the penalties for getting caught with either drug are the same. All I can think of is, maybe the system sees heroin as worse and hands out stiffer penalties for dope vs. crack

I don't think that the penalties are the same. Before someone caught with 5 grams of crack would suffer the same penalties as someone caught with 500 grams of cocaine. Recently that law which was in effect since the crack epidemic of the 80s has been dramatically changed and the gap is not so ridiculously huge but, I still believe that crack carries stiffer penalties for less weight, I'm just not sure what exactly they are. I realize that heroin is a completely different drug but, I think it's penalties are closer to powder cocaine than they are to crack. If anyone has any info here it'd be interesting.

I think federally, thats true, but state laws vary greatly...I could be wrong, but IME, the law definitely doesn't view powder heroin as "better" than crack...
 
Ive been jacked before when I first started hitting the open air in San Francisco.

Not in a long time though. The money never leaves my body until my product is in my hand inspected and counted.

Also saying that you are likely to get jacked spending only 100 is sketching me out.

When I buy pills out here I usually have 3-500 on me and looking to spend that much. I don't advertise that but when I find a person who's got what I'm lookin for as long as it gets put in my hand and counted out while someone is watching my back it is all good.

Jacking the customers is bad business. It goes down all day everyday out here no doubt but it is pretty easy to spot and since policy out here is customers get drugs first then money gets handed after (sometimes five ten minutes after if it is hot) its not much of a gamble. Different in the east/northeast?

but not heating dope is an eastern thing, i dont know of anyone that doesnt heat tar

I think it's more of an issue of the corner boys knowing that if you are buying off the street then you will most likely come back whether you get burnt or not. Also, it's not hard for some people to pose as dealers, take your money and sell you empty/fake bags, and never see you again.

Most people want to get in and out as quickly as possible, so by the time they realized that they got burnt it's too late. It's best to buy smaller amounts and develop a rapport with a crew before spending more. You might be just as likely to get burnt over $100 as you would over $20, but at least if you get burnt over $20 it's not so bad. I'm sure that some shady dealers would rather just get your $100 in pure profit by burning you rather than hope you come through enough for them to make $100 profit in legit sales, so in that respect you are probably more likely to get burnt with a larger amount on you.

i wasnt saying it will happej, i was just saying that when you flash that much cash, it gives them moreincentive to just take it and keep their shit to sell to someone else, rather then cut you a deal and sell you their shit for leess money..now a good businessman will take the less profit to reup again rather then sit on their shit for a day or 2 but lets face it..these guys arent really the best busineessmen and just dont understand..they just see money and want to tmost they can get

alot of times they dont have the product you ask for so as opposed to having it and choosing not to sell it they might onbly have 3 or4 left..so instead of telling you they aint got it and sending you to someone else or have you wait, they will just do what they got too and take your money..especially cause not all of them are out there hustlin to make money, some are doin it to get their fix for the day and a 100$bill looks good
 
Dealing with open air is probly similar in mOst city's. I'm sure most of us have been burned with empty packs or bunk shit. I bought of several different guys till one of them gave me his number and was the leader of the crew. He told me don't buy from his boys he will personally hook me up. We had a good business relationship for a few years till I went on methadone. He even hooked me up to keep me crom being sick while I was upping my dose. That was the best deal he ever gave me. Then we shook hands and he wished me well and said " I hope I don't ever see you down here for this ever." He seemed like he cared. I hope he is not in prison because he had a heart.
