Charlottesville, Virginia

Ok, and "Republicans have never supported White Supremacists" is a huge lie, not a fact, and should be removed from your list of facts.

Lol, seriously? Like I guess I can't think of a Republican holding a press conference to officially endorse white supremacy, it doesn't mean they don't support white supremacist individuals and policies. Donald Trump is a Republican president who appointed a white supremacist as HIS CHIEF ADVISOR. Are you fucking kidding?

Lucky that never happened.

donald trump can lie shamelessly, and people think he's arrogant and stupid.

what makes you think you can pull it off?

are we to deduce at this point that you're simply trying to be annoying?
perhaps the onus should be on you to prove that you're not...

i guess it would be one explanation why you accuse people that debate you of being trolls.
that's a classic (but lazy) trolling tactic, isn't it?

Donald Trump is a Republican president who appointed a white supremacist as HIS CHIEF ADVISOR.

This guy made the claim. I know it's bullshit so I called him out. The onus should be on him to prove that this is true.

So much of this debate is predicated on proving that Trump is a racist, however nobody has yet been able to do so. Says a lot about how your opinions are formed if you are absolutely certain of something yet cannot prove it.

What he did to Breitbart is proof enough for me. It seems like you don't think anyone can be considered racist unless they are running down the street screaming "I'M A RACIST."

Again, everything needs to be considered in the context of the history of white supremacy in America. In the 20th-21st century white supremacy has relied heavily on coded language and semantic arguments to deflect accusations of racism, which is exactly what you are doing now. Whether individuals "are racist" or not is largely inconsequential - the bigger issue is the political, economic, and social *system* of white supremacy. To say that Republicans like Trump and Bannon have never supported this *system* is a fucking joke.

And the Attorney General. It's a bad sign when MLK's widow shows up at your job interview, to say "do not hire". He's the top prosecutor. Sets policy for all the cops in the USA. He has a nasty record.

Chief Strategist has an alt-right media empire, knows how to get that base motivated and work the internet meme-factory. The two together is not good. You get an atmosphere of legitimacy, as though suddenly white nationalism was a thing to discuss around the water cooler.

(And whaley, some folks you argue with settled on a position and will defend to their dying breath, like even if the fellow they support came by personally and said, "knock it off kid", they'd just call him a cuck)

Prove he's a white supremacist.
prove he's not. until you do, let's just assume he is.

see how that works? :\

there's no point, liquidmethod, because you've made it clear that when people substantiate their points, you just brush it off and say 'nah' anyway.

but way to take a stand on an important principle. it's just the neo-nazis, the neo-nazi-sympathizing president and you. you are the company you keep?

alasdair

A good example of that support being actions like defunding an organization working to rehabilitate former members of right-wing hate groups.

I really don't give a fuck about where the line is where one can officially be considered a racist or white supremacist. I don't care if individuals can be considered racist or not. It's a red herring to distract (and I agree the media on both sides is very guilty of this, the mainstream media, Democratic elites, etc have no interest in dismantling white supremacy either) with pointless arguments over semantics and technical minutiae while the *system* of white supremacy keeps chugging along, aided by people like Trump and Bannon.

Trump doesn't support white nationalists and the KKK? They sure seem to think he does, maybe he should be a little clearer about it.

You'd think a guy with a vocabulary list shorter than some parrots wouldn't have such a hard time being clear about it. "Both sides do it" is pleasantly short, monosyllabic, but very wrong.

Yup, this shit really is not that complicated - you're against nazis or you're not. Whatever ridiculous convoluted semantic argument you come up with to distance the "alt-right" from "white nationalists," it might be more effective to not be fucking marching in the same rally with them where they are literally murdering people.
