CEPS Well Hung Parliament (CEPS Social/Off Topic)

^I would put it to the test but I only have a bump left. This is my all time favourite ket album, pounding raw goddess infused gorgeousness. Seriously, indulge. It's perfection imo.

I really suggest you both check out the LSG album (get back to me if you do), and I'll check out the Orb one.

I'm really gutted I haven't got enough to hole now.

that orb track is just a single. all 40 glorious minutes of it. apparently it reached #8 on the UK single's charts when it was released. trance isnt really my thing though, unless i'm all fuckered up. i'm more a hiphop, triphop, and metal kind of guy. even when i was going to raves way back in the day, dnb and breakbeats were my music <3

^It's Oliver Lieb/LSG but it's not trance, not in the conventional sense at least. It's very ethereal and beautiful, but it's downtempo; generally characterised by very powerful raw and distorted broken beats. I haven't heard anything quite like it to be honest.

Nice tuneage guys :)

I'm playing this years Mogwai album in the car. It's great driving music actually. Well, passenger music at least.

we must stop calling each other disingenuous. No one here is playing games.

I want to reiterate and call extra attention to this point. assume everyone is debating in good faith until they prove otherwise. engaging in continued sophistry after being called out on it is one of the few ways to demonstrate bad faith debating, merely having a different perspective or disagreeing is not.

snark and limited memes can be fine, but you have to balance it against serious arguments. our aim is to keep the signal to noise ratio high, like an inverse of the lounge. shitposting isnt allowed, but sarcasm, satire, and jokes are fine as long as they're within reason (ie, if all your posts in here are memes or inane and frivolous then you'd better fix that before we fix it for you).

there's no reason we cant have fun while having serious discussions. :D and its good to see you back in here, scrofula! make yourself less scarce and more ubiquitous, and try not to let the trolls get under your skin.

maine and nebraska have implemented proportional representation, now the rest of the country needs to follow them. until then, it would be nice if a few more states would pass the national popular vote interstate compact, 270 electoral votes' worth of states need to enter into it for it to become official, then the electoral college will effectively be no more. since they failed on their one, sole, constitutional duty, there's absolutely no point at having it anymore.

A popular vote wouldn't hurt.

And we could use for some election reform.
