So, I had an idea.

CEPS has a lot of reported posts, relative to other forums. Nobody on staff is entirely sure what to do about that, because we all like a bit of fun but (at the same time) people can get offended.

I don't want to mod discussions if neither side wants me to mod them.

My idea is this.

We have an anonymous "opt out" poll. Most of the posts that seemingly violate the BLUA are from regulars that are just taking the piss with each other. So, you either vote "opt out" or "opt in" for modding. What this means is: I'm not going to mod ad homs directed towards you. It doesn't give you free rein to ad hom other people. That's up to them.

Does that make sense?

I'm the sort of person that tries to fix everything, so it's probably just another case of overthinking shit. This is a community, so I'd like to hear your opinions before I start this experiment.

You (and others) have said a number of times that you don't think this forum needs to be modded. Recently, @Las Veghost grower said the rules should be different for regulars... This is the best I can come up with to accommodate your wishes.

I'm also going to start moving posts to the Lounge rather than editing/deleting them unless they are infraction worthy.

That’s cool your trying to accommodate everyone but your the mod man, BL chose you to keep this place inline, reguardless of what we think, ultimately I think you should run it the way the mods/admins agree it should be run

There's only two mods here, now. It's me and @mal3volent. I assume he doesn't have an issue with this experiment? It's just an idea at this point. We don't have to try it. I just thought it made sense. (I probably should have run it by you first, dude. My bad.)

He's got big balls though I'll tell you that. If for no other reason than the temperature i.e. Red Square at this time of the year turns into a big skating rink it's that cold.

See now there's a fine example of somebody who should be brought up on domestic terrorism charges, or at very least public indecency charges, or damage to government property, and thrown into the asylum. But oh wait: it's peaceful protest! My bad! Fuck that.

I'm just glad he didn't manage to complete his task and damage the paving! :ROFLMAO:

You saying there's a bunch of reported posts and that need moderation and/or deletion initiating from the usual suspects in CEPS? And you're not sure if said reporting is warranted or not?

Seeing as I'm think I've been relatively well behaved of late: I got no problem with your judgment (although if I'm in the fucking queue it'd be interesting to find out why and for what because God knows I've sat on my hands and only filtered content has actually been posted especially on that COVID shit show). But if there's anything related to abortion, basic human rights, and Ukraine: then feel free to just delete! And I think by now you of all people are aware of the interpersonal online relationships here between members huh? I had a post deleted once because I called YOU a fucking cunt! Then had some explaining to do! :ROFLMAO:
 
i told you guys what to do

just leave the report button there but deactivate it - this way the cry baby thinks they're telling on you and you don't have to worry about seeing reported posts everyday from the same crybabies
