they like jesse ventura as their resident devil's advocate. but he can humorously go rogue "play ball? what ball? yeah i'd prosecute the previous admin for war crimes"

instead of focusing on our lies to get us into Iraq, he instead focused on our lie to get into vietnam and the possibility of 9/11 being an inside job...

By Adam Curtis, of Power of Nightmares fame.

Each clip is 60 mins long but well worth the watch, I highly recommend it, everyone from the left to the right to the Woo Tang Clan can get something from this doco. A few people could do with an instructive lesson as to the basis for some of their ideological beliefs too :\

The Trap: What Happened to Our Dream of Freedom

This is a BBC documentary series by English filmmaker Adam Curtis, well known for other documentaries including The Century of the Self and The Power of Nightmares. It began airing in the UK on BBC Two on 11 March 2007.

Part 1: Fuck You Buddy

In this episode, Curtis examines the rise of game theory during the Cold War and the way in which its mathematical models of human behaviour filtered into economic thought.

Part 2: The Lonely Robot

The second episode reiterated many of the ideas of the first, but developed the theme that drugs such as Prozac and lists of psychological symptoms which might indicate anxiety or depression were being used to normalise behaviour and make humans behave more predictably, like machines.

Part 3: We Will Force You To Be Free

The final programme focussed on the concepts of positive and negative liberty introduced in the 1950s by Isaiah Berlin. Curtis briefly explained how negative liberty could be defined as freedom from coercion and positive liberty as the opportunity to strive to fulfill one’s potential. Tony Blair had read Berlin’s essays on the topic and wrote to him in the late 1990s, arguing that positive and negative liberty could be mutually compatible. He never received a reply, as Berlin was on his death bed.

How beautifully heavenly....

Brown overhead calling voter 'bigoted'

The sweetest old lady scorned:
'Bigoted' womans reaction to Gordon Brown (28Apr10)

Now, watch how Gordon reacts to the tape as if he were in a car crash: slump, facepalm.

Gordon Brown apologies for 'bigoted woman' comment

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

rotflol

I fucking love it!

Maybe she was a bigot though? I don't think he needs to give a blanket apology, just because he was "caught" for saying this.
If he called her a "cunt" sure then he should apologise.
