Why Even A Small Nuclear Conflict Would Probably Kill Us All
(hint: it's not from the blast or the radiation)

^ yeah I saw that, it was good stuff. He must have put a lot of work into it. Not sure if communal type living on that scale will ever really be mainstream popular, but with so many people alive something like that might have to happen.

^I remember the first time I drove in a roundabout in the NE. I was really confused. :D

I walk by one fairly frequently and I've heard that horrible screeching brake sound and sometimes then the crash sound. It's awful waiting for the possible impact! :(

They're a lot more efficient than lights. I mean, traffic is constantly on the move, so flow is high. And actually in countries that have lots of them, traffic accidents are lower vis-a-vis lights. Turns out that when people have lights, they don't really pay attention to the road as much and drive straight forward regardless of what's coming through the red :\

I guess it takes some skill to learn how to use them though. In the UK and France they're everywhere on every road, so you learn how to drive through them (part of the driving test). But I guess if you're from somewhere else in the US and then drive to the NE, where there are quite a lot of them, you'll get confused easily?

Why You Never Got To Fly The 'US Concorde'

Yes. I think I circled twice before exiting at the proper place... (I got used to them. :) )

There's some data that there are more accidents when they are put at intersections in places where they aren't common, but the resulting injuries from the accidents are less severe.

I actually think they are quite efficient, but they should have good signage. I can't think of a great way to introduce them into a new area.

No more text. Promise. :)

Why I Changed My Mind About Nuclear Power
(and why nuclear may well be the future)

^ It was bloody weird, that's for sure! Lol

Owen Jones meets Jonathan Pie | 'Identity politics are used to shut down debate'
Jonathan Pie has become an online cult phenomenon with his political rants. Despite being a Jeremy Corbyn supporting lefty, Tom Walker, the man behind Pie, has made many on the left uncomfortable by offering up some challenging perspectives, particularly on freedom of speech and identity politics. I went to meet the man behind the fictional news presenter to discuss his own political views.
