It appears that when the old man Ed Asner has something to say about "trickle down economics," those brave republicans simply act like little bitches and cry out "how rude" as if they aren't the most foul pieces of greedy shit ever.

In fact I have never heard such an excellent and succint interpretation of "trickle down economics!" It really is the rich pissing on the rest of us. They give us no sustenance, no water to drink...only their waste...if we are that lucky.
 
Believe me, I got the correct impression of you the first time I read one of your shitty posts. You have no substance as a human being to work with.

But, if you want to know, I generally do my internet rounds in the morning after getting up. It's like my morning paper thing when I have my coffee.

This old fart is not only senile but already has his millions... like most of the liberal elites who pass out the kool aid to those stupid enough to drink. If he and his pals want more revenue for govt, then go ahead and pay more to the IRS... they will accept. This is perfect way for voluntarily paying their "fair share".

He suckers poor people and poor veterans like you into "promoting freedom" so you can pay the same amount he does for everything needed for civilization to operate while he keeps his full capital gains and watches the world go to shit around him.

15% income tax of your income leaves you much less to live on than 30% income tax of his. But, you don't want to punish a dirty Koch for being successful do you?

edit: honestly MFR? You're going to assert ppl profit more from taxation the more they make? I would argue the exact opposite (and will do so civilly, if you honestly believe what you just posted). How on earth would a millionaire benefit more from what the state does with his money, than the poor who don't even contribute? The more you make and the more independent you are the less taxes adn all this social spending affects you, I'm bewildered at how you came to the opposite conclusion)

2. What was the top bracket tax rate during this time?
3. How did America become so prosperous during this time?

4. When did America start going downhill?
5. What were the top bracket tax rates this time?

I would assume "elites" of all political backgrounds already have their millions. Otherwise they wouldn't be very elite now would they?

A poor person apartment burns down. They lose a few hundred dollars worth of possessions.

A rich person's house burns down. They lose far more than a few hundred dollars worth of possessions.

Now, who has more to gain from having a good fire department?

1) what do you mean by "prosperous"? Lots of different interpretations there... GDP per capita is higher now than ever, but i won't pretend there aren't many ways to support plenty of different time periods..

that doesn't mean it's efficient for a rich person to throw money at a public fire department, just that they benefit more - all things considered - because they have more possessions. Every $ they spend on the fire department boosts the community's fire department, htey only receive utility for whatever % of society's possessions are theirs (so i guess, about same utility/$ as the poor folks then?)
[don't take the above to mean i'm not for public fire dept.s, as they are a service i endorse. fire/courts/cops/military? Yes. welfare/DEA/FDA/TSA? not so much]
But the point still stands that for every $ spent on public services, the poor get more relative utility than the rich. The rich aren't "riding" on the tax dollars of the poor, whereas the poor absolutely can ride on the rich's to a degree. This should be abundantly obvious if you consider it.
