Keep in mind, acid rain and ozone depletion were dealt with because we implemented policies such as banning CFCs and establishing cleaner emissions standards, in response to evidence that we needed to take action. If we hadn't taken action, we'd still have acid rain, gigantic smog problems in urban areas (like China and India have now and like NYC/Chicago/etc had in the 80s, with people getting sick), and the ozone would still be depleting instead of restoring. Also we have found so much more oil than we knew about back in the day and developed fracking to obtain oil from areas that we previous thought it was unobtainable in. Memes like this only serve to cause people to feel okay with inaction.

I don't usually reply to memes in here since I know they're not necessarily reflecting the beliefs of the poster but shit like this meme just reinforce attitudes that are harmful and other people see this stuff besides us.
