I'm not rich THEY OWE ME NOTHING...
i find you tend to view a lot of these issues quite narrowly, through the prism of your own experience. how does this affect me? what do i get out of this?

but there's a bigger picture. of course a specific, individual billionaire does not owe a specific, individual poor person. but, considering the issue more holistically, it's about wealth/income inequality and society generally.

the country was built on ideas of togetherness. the first three words of the u.s.constitution are "we the people...". not 'you' or 'i' or 'they'. 'we'. it goes on to say "provide for the common defence" and "promote the general Welfare". it's about all of us.

income inequality is bad for the whole country for a number of reasons. people in less equal societies: live shorter lives; do worse in school; are more likely to suffer mental illness; are more likely to be obese. further - and this should concern any citizen who believes in the founding principles of the country - income inequality tends to give richer people an unacceptably high degree of control over the lives of others. i believe we are clearly seeing the effects of income inequality on the fairness of political and economic systems and institutions.

if you sincerely want to 'make american great again' you'd be hard pressed to find a better place to start than addressing income inequality.

I guess your solution is we can bus all the minorities so they can be just like Harris or Carson: racist with white privilege syndrome. Laughs about inhaling marijuana but also putting blacks in prison for marijuana without remorse.

The public school system, personal income tax, etc. is set up so the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor.

#1 thing: GLOBAL WARMING.

I sincerely hope wealth inequality is here to stay and anyone who thinks otherwise was evil along the way (all the wealth equalizers, the socialists, national socialists, failed miserably: why do Americans hate Nazis and Communism but still think wealth inequality is a bad thing? IT ESCAPES ME!)

well since the wage an employee gets paid doesn't reflect the value he or she is actually producing, all profit of a corporation is actually value created by the workforce they will not get paid. if taxation is theft, capitalism is as well...
So quit your fucking slave job! No one's making you work!

The GOVERNMENT DOES STEAL your money before it is given to you. I am sorry this alludes you.

If everyone decided to stop working all at once employers would have to offer more incentives to get employees back. The fact people willingly work for slave labor wages etc. is due to overpopulation and no one wants to address that, god forbid we address that! Anything but that! Please, let's just keep having kids until the world is ecologically destroyed and the only food source will be other humans and seaweed. PLEASE!

....:?

an exploited workforce
Wah, wah, wah.

Investing is work. And you can lose money if you don't know what you're doing.

Poor people think money makes you happy, makes your life better, etc. Wake up. It doesn't. Try meeting people who had massive amounts of money (millions) and it went away in a year/few years. It happens. Some people are totally aimless/irresponsible and that's why they are poor. Other people are hard workers and that's why they're not.

Totally unpopular opinion and I expect Antifa to tie noose and hang me from a tree any day now.

One last thign

LIBERALS: "Complains about institutionalized racism."
LIBERALS: "Votes for politicians who support public police forces, public schools, tough on crime politicians, and to pour more money into 'failing' schools" PS the failing schools are failing because they are deliberately under-educating/neglecting their duty to educate minority students. REWARD THE RACISM? WITH MORE MONEY? That's your solution?

CONSERVATIVES: "MAGA"
CONSERVATIVES: "Votes for politicians who support public police forces, public schools, tough on crime politicians...."

and you hate me for thinking we need a voucher system. LOL.

Keep supporting institutionalized racism and thinking you're part of the solution, buddy. It's quite rich to me.

besides a system which makes it practically impossible to sustain myself without money...

well it is work in the same way gambling is work ;) ... but the dividends an investor gets come from value added from the actual work employees did at the company they invested in. it is not value the capitalist themselves created. capitalists just make money from having money which doesn't make sense in my opinion.

So the options are to work hard and make a pittance and help make someone else who didn't produce the work rich, or not work and either be homeless or rely on government assistance? Yeah sounds like a great system. 8)

I'm not saying people shouldn't be allowed to get rich. I'm saying the people actually producing things of value to society should be able to live a good, comfortable life. And the system being focused on creating an ever widening income equality gap at the expense of the people doing the work is a fucking problem. It's common sense. We're supposed to be a country FOR the people. We could be but right now we're not. People working 40+ hours a week doing anything of value should be able to feed their families and be self-sustaining. It's absurd that that is not the case for millions and millions of people. Meanwhile a handful of people are getting even more absurdly wealthy as a result of workers who are barely making ends meet. How can you not see this as a problem? It truly does not make sense to me.
