Yep, that's pretty much why. I didn't follow it much even when I did live there - but I was more exposed to it for sure.

I consider myself alt right libertarian, but I'm not too far off from ancap. I really like the idea of anarchism, I just don't think it's practical.

I also like the idea that everyone be free to do what they will without restraints, and that we can all self-organize to make everything happen, but yeah, sadly, I don't think it's possible, and we need government if we are to function in any way as a large society. I also think that's why we need regulation on the free market, because otherwise people end up dominating it and choking out competition (what is happening now with the repealing of consumer protection and antitrust laws). I do think self-governance works in small groups where everyone knows each other and mutually depends on each other for survival, but our numbers and physical distance render those things obsolete on the macro scale.

I don't have to have lived during the 1920s to call my 20s, a period of severe depression, "The Great Depression" as a metaphor.

Norway 'works' bc it's rich in natural resources, tiny, & homogenous. It's not working so well anymore.

To me the Venn diagram wasn't funny bc it didn't actually overlap. I got what the joke was trying for, but the epic math failure destroyed any humour potential for me.

SM - this is why I don't believe in macro scale humanity. I think we should all live in small villages. But unfortunately some govt would stillmbe needed for environmental reasons, I think. Then again, it's not like the govt takes good care of the environment. :/

Don't take all memes I post too seriously, guys. I'm an anarcho-communist, so fuck social democracy and such things that people falsely call "socialism"^^

I admit, I almost had to puke as I saw this:

I didn't realize that was the belief. I understand better why there's so much fear, in that case. I don't believe it, though.

It's fascist because it suggests that this is planned somehow. This is not only blatantly false, as the absolute majority of people fleeing war or poverty in the middle east ARE seeking asylum in neighbouring countries, opposed to your racist propaganda. Claiming their goal is to invade or infiltrate the west denies the horrors those people made flee their homes and also have to face during their often deadly journey to Europe or elsewhere, not mentioning how they are treated in many countries they're arriving at. Often they are treated just like prisoners. Stuff like this gives me the impression that you are a human being without any empathy or compassion for others.

I really don't think you understand what fascism is. At all. Certainly that was no explanation. And you are incredibly off the mark as to my thoughts, feelings & motivations, though I'm not surprised by that. But I strongly recommend you not jump to false assumptions. It's not very empathetic or compassionate.

How can you be sure your position is the moral one when you are seemingly unwilling to understand those that are different, & most especially oppositional? Serious question.

You're right, I didn't explain why exactly this is fascist. I only exposed your meme as the racist propaganda that it is, and thought this would be sufficient to demonstrate, why it's fascist. Anyway, I just wanted to debunk your propaganda so that others don't fall for it. I don't intend to argue about this or anything with you, as debating with racists is like fighting windmills.
Or as Jean-Paul Sartre put it:

“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”

Obviously antisemite is interchangable with racist or fascist in this context.
