CE&P social thread: why do the people I disagree with hate freedom so much?

I'm pretty sure I read that the estimated cost of building the death star would be $850 quadrillion (850,000,000,000,000,000). Not even our offense budget can afford that unfortunately. Maybe someday...
 
sure if you want to build it in america, and then have the thing stall at the first small moon. shoot it off to china, hell even mexico can make three for twelve pesos, and even then it would have flames painted along the side.

lol. it's okay/smart not to use shit like your real name, but past that it's pointless IMO. if someone wants to know who you are, they will find it (*w/o* a doubt, if your post count is in the hundreds. trust me, you have no idea how clear a picture many-posts will paint). further, if you're 100% about what you say you are, whether drugs or politicxs, you should have zero concern for anonymity outside of 'low-hanging fruit' bullshit (which using a pseudonym more than covers)
 
My parents (gun owners, republican voters) have now discovered the joys of Alex Jones and youtube conspiracy videos. Not only do I get to facepalm over that shit here, but now I get to explain to my mom why Sandy Hook wasn't just a movie set filled with actors and fake deaths designed by Obama to make them register their shotguns. So some hostages were taken at a BP oil facility in Algeria. I say let's keep in the spirit of free enterprise and lack of government interference and let the BP corporation handle this on their own. I'm not going to war for BP or any of its shitty overseas employees. BP wants the freedom to make money by destroying the environment? They also have the freedom and responsibiity to fucking save their own hide on their overseas adventures too.
 
Also, since private employers are so big on "background checks" prior to employment, I think that these hostages should have a background check performed on them to see if they are eligible for rescue.

They are lefties but they are also fair imo. Escher's is a progressive that is almost too smart to buy into his own message or lack there of.
