CE&P social thread: why do the people I disagree with hate freedom so much?

Russia (after publicly condemning Assads crackdown) and blocking UN Securty Council resolutions against Assad, has sent a military force to back him against the Syrian insurgency.

Cant say I'm all together surprised, Russia cant have anti-authoritarian uprisings happening in their back yard, might give their own people ideas....
 
probably just our elected officials trying to figure out world politics, looking for new perspectives and such ;)
 
she obviously redflagged herself to justify some form of jihad on the local bakery.

I have to pick a country and analyze its level of democratic development taking into consideration factors that are pro and anti democracy. I'm thinking I want to do a pseudo democracy like Russia or a total non democracy like Vietnam or Cuba. Any suggestions?

Ended up going with Russia. Only put a few hours of effort into the presentation and I was way better than any of the other 7 people that have presented so far. Seems like every other poli sci major at my school is either an idiot, or cant articulate to a group to save their life.

my last plt lecturer kept going on and on about "yes, minister". man, just a few episodes in the first season and already found lots of hearty lols. really apt westminster system critique. hilarious even when you think about how horrifically realistic it is.

i'm really curious who wrote it, lol.

looks like he's a rather prolific author, several books. i'm guessing stimulants are his DOC.
 
on a another side note, if i had the time, i SO want to grab a santorum speech clip where he refers to obama and then substitute the sound with the voice of samuel l jackson from jackie brown various other films where he goes buck whyle witht he enn word.

Pretty accurate except the part where we invade every country that has oil/mineral wealth and no nukes. At least this chart acknowledges that the US does help people in need in many cases.
